Whee... I just cleared it with my boss to leave work and watch the good old US of A kick some Czechy arse!

And I think it was either FHM or ESPN the Mag where I got my pull out guide and schedule to the World Cup. Whee!

Yeah nice ending, Autralia had more of the game and the better chances, though they tried to do too much through the middle. The first goal was undeserved, though after the 1-1 Japan should have gotten a penalty. Australia was the better team in the end, much better than I expected.

My Class got for the next Tuesday afternoon school off to watch Germany, thats cool...ok i don't look the World Cup.

I just hope that Germany will play against Netherland and kick their ass

But i think Brazil or Argentinie will win the World Cup, Germany had to much changes in the last time to be a good team, but England is strong and i think that they will get at least to the quarter finals, until then i don't know

And if Germany gets out after the Groupround, there will be someone paying

Not to dampen your spirits but Czech Republic are one of the best teams in the world and are currently ranked second or so. However this is the World Cup where anything can happen and if both Nedved and Rosicky have a bad game....

I just feel this new ball will be a godsend for Nedved's regular 40 yarders.

Holy shit, that was some goal by Rosicky. US doesn't seem to have much chance, I expected more from them.

Yeah I missed the first goal and saw the US's clank off the post.

But that second was a fricking gorgeous shot.

At least the big guy is out.

*has been doing a happy dance ever since Koller got hurt*

USA needs to step up bigtime in the second half and salvage a draw

Well, this is turning into the hardest defeat on the cup yet. In all other matches, the loser put up at least SOME resistence, even the african outsiders.

I must say, I'm very dissapointed with the US team. I kinda expected them to be a hidden favourite and reach at least quarter finals... meh, that's not gonna happen with performances like this.

Sadly, I only saw the last goal. But the Czechs are a pretty good team, the best that has played so far. I'd say they'll play for the cup.

    Bush's next target: Czech republic.

How beautifully ironic. 3 places apparently between the two teams in the world at one time and 3 is the deficit. :)

I think Czech did everything England and Holland did wrong. They paced themselves throughout the game instead of letting the early lead get to their heads. Whereas other European teams just went all out for more and lost their legs in the second half under the heat. Koller getting injured is BAD news for the Czechs but they have a VERY good manager so should do well. I can very easily see this Czech team in the semi-finals if that's any consolation to the US.

Czech are practically through. If the US beat Ghana and draw against Italy they could sneak in ahead of the Italians and cause the biggest shock of the tournament.

You do realize that Holland and England both played at the hottest time of the day (the sudden heat wave popped out of nowhere) and that the Czechy's played quite a bit later and had two days to train for the warmer weather. Not taking anything away from the Czech's even as a vengeful dutchie I have to admit they played an amazing game

Nah... I don't see the US team making it through with 4 points.

They need a big win vs. Ghana and they need a win vs. Italy or it's curtains for them.

    Fucking embarassing match that was.

*pimp smacks the whole US Squad for playing one of the most uninspiring games he's seen*

Yes I'll readily admit it but it was still damn hot that game, the commentator only commented a million times on it.

It is funny though how different the English and Dutch media took the news of their (meager) win. Where the English media ripped into their team the Dutch media couldn't stop kissing their ass. "we are proud that our team can battle for a win... yadda yadda yadda" Just a thought.

But the game is about to start, it's times like these that I wish that I got Italian commentary... I'd just love to hear the commentator yell GOOOOOAAAAALLLL

It's still 28°C here at my place of residence, 7 minutes before the last game of the day is about to start. Don't talk about it not being hot anymore.

car: I'd say it gets annoying after a while.

That's because we're probably the proudest footballing nation at the moment (sometimes it's not a good thing) and a win just isn't enough any more ;)

Besides, I'd like to think that Serbia&MN is somewhat tougher team than Paraguay.

That's what South-Americans do, not Italians (unless they're faking it).
