    Spain v Ukraine [2pm GMT]

Prediction: 2-1 Spain. Last group. Spain are becoming notoriously bad at big tournaments and will want a big win here against their major opposition in the group. The team is (as always) under considerable pressure from the media to perform. They boast the likes of Torres and Puyol. However Ukraine have something Spain don't, the best goalscorer on the planet. Hopefully it'll be a high scoring game and I'm sure the winner here will go on to win the group.

Tunisia v Saudi Arabia [5pm GMT]

Prediction: 0-0. After their 8-0 drumming last time around, Saudi'll want to retain some dignity. I don't see a goal in this game and I don't see a record breaking amount of people watching it either.

    Germany v Poland [8pm GMT]

Prediction: 2-1 Poland. Th reason why I think Poland will win is because they have a real sense of urgency about them now. If they lose they're out. Simple as. They can't afford to lose and I think they'll really pressure the weak German defence. Should be a good game.

Spain will flop, they always do at the world cup. And with a quality striker like Shevchenko it doesn't look good.

2-0 to Ukraine, both of them Shevchenko goals.

How can you service someone that doesn't move and is thus always covered? Magic the ball through the defense? Yeah, I'd like to see that. Come on, look at what Robinho did, Brazil's game got way better once he was in because Ronaldino and Kaka had someone to play with.

Yeah he may get better, but that doesn't mean he didn't move like a lump.

I doubt that. The German defense isn't that bad, and have you seen Poland playing Ecuador? The fact that they want to win isn't really a factor, Germany wants to win as well. I predict 2-0 Germany.

    Yay!

The USA defeat was now technically, not the most embarassing!

    Technically.

Ha! The German defence isthe worst thing I've seen. A simple through ball beats every single defender. Fucking Costa Rica scored 2 against them! Ridiculous at this level - and any. Once hey get out of this easy group, they're gonna have the smacdown layeth upon them. I know Beckham would LOVE to play against that kind of defense. One of his balls = Rooney through on goal.

Ronaldo has been an unlucky sod. He let himself go after 98. He was at Inter and ruptured his knee ligaments and missed a year. Then on his first game back, he ruptured some more knee ligaments in the other leg and put him out for another year. Then he went to Madrid and got fat, only he is really fat now. He is a not so good version of robbie fowler(the greatest natural finisher of all)

well didnt see a 4-0 win for spain coming, more importantly they looked awesome while they did it, will take a big performance to beat them if they play like that. The sending off was a bit harsh though, villas basically slipped.

    Have you seen Kuffour?

I disagree. Yes, getting two goals is not good, but the second goal was offside, while the first would have been offside were it not for Friedrich (so yeah, a fault that has been punished immediately). Other than that, Ecuador had 4 shots at the German goal. Even the US had more (6). Even Ukraine had more (5).

But anyway, we shall see tonight how Germany shall stand against Poland.

Germany isn't the best team ever, but they should be good enough to beat uninspired Polacs. Don't forget, they have a huge home field advantage too.

That Tunisia goal left me .

I think the German team is going to want to watch its ass, the Polish wont be playing for fun/love of the game.

Well, 0-0 after 45 minutes and I must say, the German defense doesn't really make me happy, but at least I'm not crying anymore.

Poland has vastly improved since the first game, but Germany has more and better chances. Just to score finally would be nice ... More over the left side, perhaps a little header ...

Heh, it's been a long time since I've been so happy about a goal. It was wholly deserved with that lasting offense.

Well, that's your standard German victory. You have to admire them for NEVER giving up and fighting till the end. That's why Germany is always one of the teams I silently cheer for.

Unlucky Poland I suppose. If Ecuador win tomorrow, both they and Germany will be the first two teams to proceed to the next round so well done and whatnot. Poland are all but out.
