I'm not sure I like the new arc with the new powerups and all. I miss seeing Luffy struggeling to survive amongst Blackbeard and fellow villains.

 

The problem is that he was just getting smacked over and over. He was just not strong enough to survive where they're going.

He's still going to struggle in the New World. There are people like Shanks over there. We just gotta get through the Mermen first.

 

I was all "Fuck yeah", when Luffy got his powerups. I guess opinions differ.
Besides, I'm sure Luffy will be beaten bloody many, many times before One Piece is over, just like in the first part.

Meh.

 

I was super happy when Luffy got his power ups. It was annoying watching him run continuously toward Ace and get kicked around. For the anime, it felt like him running up to the platform took over 20 episodes... (I didn't really count)

 

This arc is really boring me to death none of the villains seem all that powerful. Seriously atm I am enjoying Bleach manga updates more then this. BLEACH!

I meant that because I usually like One Piece way more then bleach but atm its just going so slow

 

I have to agree, mostly because this arc mainly consists of boring history of the island.

 

At least I'm not the only one that thinks, 'who the fuck cares about the history'.

I mean everything important could be deducted(or was even explained) in the real story, or did I miss something?

 

This arc just screams filler filler filler and tells us stuff that I couldn't care less about. Also the whole history with Tiger and all that, wasn't it told to us before? Maybe not all at once, but in snippets that I feel like its just a recap now. Luffy just needs to get out of that stupid island and go into the New World already.

Edit: The whole controlling sea kings part is kinda cool though.

 

Eh, I'm enjoying it. It's fun seeing a bit of history in the One Piece world. Not everything has to be fighting and battling, and I'm sure this information will be important to what's going on.

It just feels slow because it's being read week to week. It's not that bad.

But I'm a One Piece fanboy, so I'm probably biased a tad.

 

Yea, that's true. I'm sure if I read all the chapters at once it'd go by within 30 minutes. Right now it's just a 3 minute read a week that's why it feels so slow. It might be a good idea to stop reading for a few weeks and going through them all at once.

EDIT: Yeah, I was pretty amused when Luffy was asleep at the end.
