Nah, it's Kyros. Mangapanda translations are awful. Try Mangastream.

Fuck, I love this manga. It's just so fantastic.

Oda just builds and builds over an arc until he can blow your fucking mind and let chaos reign in his story.

    Shit is going down.

    Oh, prediction:

For some fucking reason, Law saved Doflamingo there.

    My guess was that
he could reattach parts of his body due to being a string man.
Your idea seems more believable though.

The Law theory has some merit. We still don't exactly know what kind of game he's playing. He's been courteous and fairly up-front so far, but we know he has a reputation for dirty dealing and brutality. It's not beyond the realm of believability that Law is playing a different, longer game here, and is using the Strawhats as a means to an end. In fact, that's probably the case. It's just a question of what his game is, and whether or not Dolflamingo being alive is part of his strategy.

The again, this is Oda. I'm not willing to say for certain he wouldn't be willing to just straight kill a villain like that. If this were Tite or Kishimoto, no. Oda, I'm not so sure. Maybe Kyros really did just get his revenge. I doubt it, seeing how Dolflamingo seems to be more powerful than that, but it's possible. Kyros is a monster in combat, after all. Only having one leg didn't even seem to slow him down.

    Chapter's out.

So, it looks like all the Law saving Doflamingo theories can be put to rest at least. Also, Sabo eating the Mera Mera no Mi is pretty badass, although I'm kinda sad because I wanted Rebecca eat it and join the crew, but oh well.

    Go Usopp.

Aw. I haven't been following and decided to check on a whim. I thought Luffy ate it. :( That would have been so badass.

Except, you know, that people who eat two fruits apparently tend to die. Blackbeard is obviously some sort of exception perhaps due to how he took the power.

While that may be true Marco commented on Blackbeard not being a normal human, and having a strange structure of his body. Which might allow him to be able to eat 2 fruits.

Luffy dying or him having two fruits? Luffy dying in such a stupid manner would irrate me as he's one of the few main characters in a shounen I actually like. Him eating a second fruit and gaining its power like Blackbeard would be lame and would ruin his character for me. Luffy's not suppose to have a powerful fruit. Part of his charm is him taking such a comical and seemingly useless fruit and becoming bamf with it.

How would it "ruin his character," exactly? Do you even understand what those words mean?

Until we know exactly what the D's are and what makes them unique to everyone else, we can't rule out anything. If any D does something that's supposed to be impossible, we can't just assume other D's wouldn't be capable of that as well. We lack the information to say it couldn't be done. It's entirely possible Luffy could eat more than one fruit. Oda's even teased it in the past with his color covers.

As I said I think a lot of the charm of Luffy's character was him not having an overpowered fruit and making the Gomu Gomu beastly. Him getting two fruits automatically makes him overpowered. It would make me stop liking him as a character on account of such unbelievably faggotry. Also Marco remarked that BB's body was strange not every D's and he knows at least Ace.

I'm sorry you have such a terrible definition of faggotry, but you need to realize that what "totally ruins" something for you, other people don't care about.

Luffy spent the time skip training with Rayleigh. He can now punch things that are not physical objects, blow up people's brains with his mind, make himself a Super Saiyan, and he's also a Jedi. And all of that has NOTHING to do with his fruit powers.

He's already overpowered as fuck. Him getting another fruit would be nothing more than fuel for more varied attacks than "punch things a whole lot," "punch things with a really big fist," and "punch things with a really big fist a whole lot."

I couldn't care less if he got one or didn't, because I'm not some childish neanderthal who only sees a hero for the powers that they're capable of wielding. It wouldn't "ruin his character" to get another power, and you should feel bad that you're that shallow that it would for you. So he can't get another fruit, but King Haki is fine? Don't pretend Luffy's an underdog, because he isn't. Only in the chapters running up to the time skip was he ever portrayed as such, and that was in comparison to the most powerful people on the planet. And boy howdy did Oda go out of his way to fix that shit real quick, in case you didn't notice.

I only care if it's consistent within the world it exists in. And it currently is, because we lack any clear-cut information on how Teach was able to do what he did. It's possible that the reason he wanted the Yomi Yomi so badly is because it allows the viable theft of other Fruit powers, and this was his plan all along. It's possible that the Yomi had nothing directly to do with this, Teach only wanted it because it's one of the most powerful fruit, and the ability to survive consuming/steal multiple fruit is a special trait unique to him, like Marco hypothesized. It's also possible that the reason he hid what he did under a cloth is because other people could replicate it, and he didn't want it getting out.

You don't know why. None of us do. And until we do, you can't just say "it's shit because it doesn't make sense." And it's no more unbelievable faggotry than the King's Haki is.

Other people don't necessarily have good taste.

Haki is something that literally every living thing in One Piece has. That Luffy has trained in using it means very little as it's not something unique. There are entire islands of haki users and every VA level marine knows it.

I see you can't distinguish between showy abilities and abilities that actually make one more powerful. King's Haki is virtually useless in a serious fight at this point in time. That Luffy has it means nothing more than he can knock out and terrify fodder. How is that comparable to getting another fruit even if it's rare(increasingly less rare in the New World)? One of the reasons I can't stand Ichigo is the ridiculous amount of powers he gets. Quincy, Shinigami, Hollow, and Fullbring. Protagonist getting absurd advantages over everyone else may not bother you both it does me.

If you think that it is comparable to King's Haki then why on Earth would I want to add to it? Protags shouldn't be dumping grounds for rare abilities.

That he has one in a billion Super Saiyan Haki that lets him godhax his way through an entire island of trained Haki users without any formal instruction or even knowing what he's doing just by YELLING at them, however, does.

Just so everyone is clear, this is you going on record that having King's Haki does not make you more powerful, and, according to you, it's just a "showy" ability.

You're not too solid on the idea of narrative causality, are you?

Also, way to stay on fucking point.

"Teach might be able to do it because he's a D, we don't really know."

    "B-BUT THEN LUFFY."

Maybe this was always about Luffy to you, but it's really not. It's a discussion about what Teach did, and whether or not other people could replicate it. And if you stopped to think about this for half a goddamn second, you'd remember that there are a lot of Ds running around. Not fucking crowds of them, but more than one would expect.

If being able to bullshit Devil Fruit is something that all Ds can do, then this is in no way a "protagonist only" thing. There's been eight people so far who were Ds, and of those eight, half of them are still alive, and, wait for it, two of them are Luffy's enemies (Teach, Garp) and one of them is an enigma (Dragon).

If it was a D thing, and that's sheer speculation, because again, I want to stress we know absolutely nothing about this, then you can't cry protagonist wankery. Luffy's literally outnumbered three to one, and there are probably more Ds out there we've never seen or heard of yet.

Honestly, I suspect this all has something to do with Joyboy, but we're probably going to have to wait awhile before that comes up again.

Except that he only knocked out the fodder there and everyone else was fine. It's like killing intent from Naruto. If you're facing some genin it's great. If not then don't bother.

As of now it's an ability that speaks more for one's potential than one that adds any combat ability. When has King's Haki been used in battle to take out an opponent that couldn't be oneshot? Never. It's designed to take out fodder. If you're not fodder then it's not dangerous to you. Do you see the point now?

I'm familiar with the idea. I'm clearly opposing it when used in the extremes. That a main character gets a single one in a million ability is fine. Getting them repeatedly however is not.

I find it amusing that you're naming Luffy's family in regards to him being outnumbered. Garp is Luffy's enemy now? lol. Garp has not only shown twice that he's not willing to kill Luffy(even going so far as to let himself get put down by him) but he's retired to become an instructor. Dragon saved Luffy right before the Grand line and Ivankov spoke to Dragon's character saying that there's no way he'd let a son of his get executed so don't hold your breath for conflict between them. So basically it's down to Luffy and BB.

As I've said before Marco attributed the reason BB could have more than one fruit was because his body was strange not all Ds. Let's not forget that BB is not the only D that Marco knows. Ace was also a member on WB's crew. He's almost certainly met Roger as well as Luffy. Despite that he specifically mentioned BB's body as being strange.

If it is a D thing and more Ds start popping up as duel fruit users while everyone else is stuck with one fruit then it would be faggorty of the series in general rather than protag faggotry.

That's not exactly true. When Whitebeard and Shanks clashed their Haki split the sky. And Shanks' started to damage Whitebeard's ship when he got onto it. I don't think the Haki mechanics for Conqueror's Haki have been fully fleshed out yet.
