I think Dragon wasn't even there when Blackbeard arrived. With all the talk about this reverie thing I expect him to be close to the Holy Land so he can observe what the WG will decide firsthand.

I'm torn about the current arc. On one hand it diverts from the usual setup with the major split of the crew going in different directions, on the other hand it gets increasingly harder to keep track of what's going on.

 

Apparently Oda's decided to build up the Yonkou for a bit, which is fine and all, but it feels like the manga's slowed down massively again. As for the arc, well I kind of like the split up as the usual pattern was getting irritating.
It's not that hard to keep track of, yet anyways.

 

Luffy's crew has gotten big enough that unless there's a huge war or something, they can't all be participants in any single event. This is what we're witnessing.

So Kidd got wrecked. So has Bonney whatshisface is now a mook. Worst Generation is thinning, hm.

And yeah, it looks the Revolutionary Army had enough presence of mind to haul ass.

You mean Purin? Most people think she's the three-eyed girl we saw way back at the end of Fishman Island, when we first saw Big Mom. Her hair is probably covering her third eye.

Jack is most likely a Fishman, being able to survive that long underwater (plus his teeth)

Also, there's a theory going around that Carrot is going to join the Strawhats, after eating the Yuki-Yuki fruit (Monet's fruit, that may have been reborn on Nami's tangerines). Plausible, especially after the last chapter where Luffy used up all their food.

 

Judging from the next episode preview it seems the anime will be jumping into the next story line arc. I figured they would do a filler arc after Dressrosa.

 

They took a small break to do some Sabo stuff, and that was nice, but their general strategy so far is to cut filler and instead just drag out episodes to match the one chapter a week pace.

I didn't mind the Sabo mici-arc, and I wouldn't mind more filler to be honest, but it works as is.


Just as a side note, because we're talking about the anime - Fuck Toei. God, I hate that they're the ones that do One Piece. I wish so much that we could get the Hunter x Hunter treatment and get a full rework of the anime done by a decent studio.

Tbh I'm getting pretty worn out with how many characters OP has introduced and continues introducing, I just can't muster up any interest most of the time. This isn't one of the exceptions.

Curious what Jinbe is up to.

I'm so happy that its a Vinsmoke thing, not a Sanji thing!

 

New chapter was decent. Naming convention says Reiji is the eldest and Yonji is the 4th son. And according to http://www.learn-japanese.info/time.html the guy with the clock beard might be the Vinsmoke family head.

Also the shoe tech they're wearing is probably the same from that Sora propaganda, which is weird since it's an old story and that tech is relatively advanced.

 

It's also timely, now Nami and/or Frankie could have a power-up, although Sanji can already 'fly' with his quick kicks.

Chapters have been great lately, this arc has me hyped big time.

We got to see Big Mom, finally, and I have to say, I was reminded of CheddarTrek and her Mary from Quite Contrary in a way (I know it's from a nursery thingy, sort of, but I discovered it through that story), only with sweets instead of plants. ^^

 

Big Mom is seriously creepy. Like in a twisted Alice in Wonderland kind of way- seriously she gave me those feels. Sanji's future to be seemed nice enough though, so I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop on that end too.
