I always found Alice in the Wonderland insanely creepy. Big Mom takes that up to eleven and adds demonic shit. This is seriously disturbing

Seems strange, that Sanji's betrothed is the one the Straw Hats meet almost immediately after landing on that random island. Unless this is some kind of plan from Pekoms. No wedding without the bride.

Didn't he already say he was when Luffy tried to recruit him? I think it tied with the fact that Fishman Island was under Big Mom's protection until the Strawhats came along.

 

He said he had affiliations with her, but I don't think it was ever specified that he was actually a part of her crew.

Pretty much me too, in a very dramatic fashion per usual Oda, with him either saving one of the Strawhats or doing something awesome against Big Mom.

 

Big Mom's ability seems strangely similar to Moriah. It looks like she's able to transfer life from people and maybe infuse it into other things? Still, someone brought up the point that a tree was animated in the Big Mom scene from the last chapter. Since a tree is alive, Big Mom isn't just taking the years of a person but their personality or spirit and using it to animate things.

Also, her powers may explain the unusually large number of kids she has. If she eats live food does that technically mean she gets the life (years) the food was made with? She might be super old if that's the case.

 

He's not part of her official crew, he's more of a Bannerman. Remember Puddibg told the SH that Big Mom marries her kids to people she wants to be part of the crew. Jinbei does not have a wife.

One thing I've grown to dislike about One Piece is the constant influx of new characters who we're expected to find interesting etcetera. After the 200th or so, caring about new characters is kind of hard.


Reusing older character is better by far, imo.
