Well that certainly was a better trailer in my opinion.

I particularly like the part at about ~:20, where we here Voldemort Echo Harry's name, and you can just see Harry mouth it... like Voldemort is in some form of posetion of him.

Also I'm happy they kept the spell clash effect from the priori incantatum scene in GOF movie... That one was my favorite.

But I wasn't to thrilled with the part where there levitating that kid...

Was he dennis Creevey? he looked like that Alfred or Whinstone kid(some butler name...) who delivered Ron his dress robes in the movie.

I suppose they could have been practicing the impedimenta, but for the kid to be where he was, he would have had to have lept at Cho, or been thrown...

Personally I still hate it when people refer to the good guys as the "light"...

I hated it when I first read Kinsfires porn fic where he had Harry sleep with hermione then farther a child with her mother, and I still hate it now.

I think Kinsfire had Hermiones Dad give the speech where he told harry that he was firmly on the side of the "light"...

I cringe just thinking about it.

My favorite part in the trailer is when he's teaching the DA. Best quote from the entire series in my opinion.

"Every great wizard in history started out as nothing more than what we are now. If they can do it, why not us?"

    Well said, Dan, well said.

Most definitely going to be in the battle scene in my Fic.

The movie probably won't be that great, and, just like the others, we just watched every interesting part in the entire movie in two trailers. The movies went down the drain for me anyways when the old Dumbledore passed away. The new one is absolutely horrible in my opinion, and doesn't portray Dumbledore's character well at all. I'm also a bit confused why everyone seems to think that someone wearing a suit, especially some ghoulish like snake/person thing, makes them the epitome of social standards. I mean I have seen one of the school football coaches in a uniform and the guy looked damned ridiculous. Anyways, the trailers were fun, but the movie will be a load of boring, non-canon bull shit surrounding the only good parts, which were just all squashed together in those trailers.

When I say I want to see Voldemort in a suit, I'm not talking about movie Volde or fanon Volde. The trailer may have inspired the idea but in my mind, I'm seeing smooth and handsome Tom Riddle, the man who charmed pureblood socialites into selling him their family treasures. Advance thirty years, he is a charismatic and powerful man who is a dominant force in the wizarding world. He speaks and people really listen not just because he will curse them, but because they truly honestly believe it.

Voldemort may currently be a murderous snake face, but he didn't get to the top that way. He didn't almost take over the world starting as a monster. He became one eventually, but he started as a smooth talker, a dynamo, a real powerhouse, one hell of a guy. Think of him as a good looking Hitler.

That kind of sociopath, dressed in a thousand dollar suit would scare the crap out of me.

To add to what the-caitiff said... think of jberns voldemort for his fic To fight the comming Darkness.

The scene with voldemort doing the interview really portrays what I think about when I see him in that suit in the trailer.

Plus its atleast better than the shit clothing they made the guy wear as his usual get up in GoF. I wasn't to afraid of him as he looked like he was wearign silk or something. Especially the way he moved, it gave his body a very, unscary look.

He has the physique of my farther actually, which kind of makes me laugh.
No offence to my dad though... You Rock Pops!!

He looked awesome in GOF. Ralph (Voldemort) is one of the four actors along with The Dame (McGonagall), Hayes (L. Malfoy) and Rickman (Snape) that capture their characters almost 100%.

    Agreed.

Yeah I'm really happy with Ralph as Voldemort. The billowly clothes in GOF aside, I see stuff in this trailer (little quick-as-a-flash part where he licks the flames coming out of his wand was awesome) that make me think he would be the best part of this movie.

I can't agree that the U.S. version, the one Ayeron posted, is better than the one I posted, which is the International Version.

Int'l just seems to flow and the music after "It's your turn now" from Sirius Black helps to pick up the pace. And Voldemort's line is delivered in a much better atmosphere, right before Dumbledore/Bellatrix/Umbridge have their 20 quick flash scenes of ownage.

Both of these trailers get raped by the Pirates of the Caribbean one, though.

Have to disagree with you on Rickman. Yeah as an actor his absolutely best work is as a villain, but he is entirely too pretty to be Snape. Whenever I see him as Snape, I know where the fangirl slash comes from.

On the other hand, the GoF scene where he threatens Harry with veritaserum... "It's use on students is... regrettably... forbidden, nevertheless I will be watching you" Perfect, 100% pure, Snape. For one brief instant I was not watching a bigscreen adaptation of my favorite book in the series, he was Snape and the book was real.

As far as acting is concerned, I think Alan has it pinned, but they could have done more to make him look like the wraith Snape is portrayed as in the books. His hair isn't greasy, his robes are too tight, and his jaw is too round (which I'm sure they could have shopped to look sharper). I want billowing robes, greasy curtain of hair, and sharp, hooked features. But his acting more than makes up for that.

Snape in the books reminds me of Crispin Glover.

Have you all seen who they got for Tonks? There are other threads on this site that show the Marauders and Snape as kids. To be honest, the Marauders look like the ones who should be hung upside down, not Snape. I'll stick with the books, thanks. Besides that, they rushed through every other movie besides the first, though that had a lot to do with directing and the fact that they had a real Dumbledore.

In the second trailer, does Voldemort breathe fire? WTF? Maybe they'll have him pull a fucking rabbit out of a hat, as well?

Thank God, no! He only licks it. Which is cool btw.

Wth is Harry doing in the beginning in the middle of a desert?!

I hope that the film isn't going to be worse then the trailer...You would think after what 5-6 years the kids would learn how to act...

My bad on the triple. First time posting and all, but I've got the gist of it now.

The make Dumbledore and Voldemort seem like gods in the video, something that sickens me for the fact that Harry can not become as powerful as them in the one book we have left. Rowling left herself in quite a spot and it's either going to suck or amaze me. Personally, I hope for the former. Good for fanfiction
