Well, on screen we have the hovering spell that Dobby did. Marge got Blown up, and if they are using the Dementor attack, then thats at least a Patronus charm that he'll use. And I think those are the more important ones in the books, in any case.

As for Arabella Figg as a witness. I really dont remember where she was during the attack. I think she came running after one of her cats warned her of what was happening, so she only saw the last moments of the Patronus tackling down the dementors. How could that make Mrs. Figg a hostile witness, tho? I'll be the first to admit that I always get confused with this kind of thing, especially when you try to apply it in a wizarding legal system thats a bit backwards.

As far as I can tell, they could present her as a squib taking a stroll that saw the whole thing. Or as someone who saw it from her window. I really dont remember where her house is in reference to where the dementors attacked, but shes just that, an eye witness. nothing more, nothing less. No one knows she works for Dumbledore, or was assigned by the Headmaster to watch over Harry. No one even knows that the OotP exists. But I'm rambling now, so yeah. I'm not quite sure how they will decide to do it, but I'm a bit worried.

Wasnt courtroom ten the one we saw in the pensive memory in GoF? Will they put Harry in that cage in the middle of the courtroom? I'm a bit confused as well.

Yeah, but what I meant is based on what she tells the court- (we know she's lying because of the books; who knows what they'll do in the movies?) -she saw the whole thing. So based on her status as a squib-- being the only one other than Dudley who is already aware of magic because of his association with Harry, does that mean as the only other party who could have been affected by seeing this bit of underage magic, Fudge will attempt to use her against Harry (even though she's Harry's Witness) as a hostile witness. I was only being half sarcastic here-- I wouldn't put much past Fudge at this point in time.

Ah, gotcha. I really don’t think they would change the development of a scene so dramatically. Yes, they've screwed up quite a bit, and changed some characterizations and what not, but I don’t think they would go so blatantly against the books by changing how the trial develops. In any case, I don’t think that scene will be particularly long, since there are so many other things that take up precedence.

But who knows, they have completely screwed up Dumbledore’s character, so predicting what they'll screw up next is bogus.

just as long as the movie includes these scenes 1. dementor attack and courtroom. 2. grimmauld place and mrs. black shouting. 3. harry exploding at hermione and ron. 4 the first dada lesson when harry defies umbridge. 5. at least one of his detentions with umbridge. 6. the meeting at hogshead. 7. the ror being done right. 8. da meetings. 9. harry and goerge beating malfoy up. 10. harry learning occlumency. 11. harrys interview and umbridges reaction. 12. the pensieve. 13. fred and george leaving. 14. most of what happened at the ministry. 15. the battle between voldemort and dumbledore. 16. harry using the unforgivable. 17. and finally more quidditch. if they have all that then ill be happy.

how about the thestrals and a bit of CoMC? And the Prophecy and scene in DDs office? Occlumency lessons with Snape and his worse memory? And I guess theres lots of other things. I just hope that they dont go with a particular theme like in GoF, where they said it was a 'thriller' and cut out anything that didnt go with that, and actually do an adaptation of the movie, regardless of the films category.

One thing I hated about the third book was that it had barely any Quidditch in it. They showed that little scene with him falling off his broom, but they didn't even show the championship match. That was a big thing for Harry at the time.

I haven't watched any of the HP movies besides the first. I was disgusted, and ran back to my fanfiction. Needless to say, this entire conversation scared the hell out of me. What the hell have they been doing all these years?!

Sree, you mean the third movie, right?

    Here's a few more people.

Amelia Bones: Sian Thomas will play the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement Office. She's appeared in several productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as roles in TV and film.

Dudley's gang: Piers Polkiss will be played by Jason Boyd, and Richard Macklin will play Malcolm.

Young Wormtail: The Peter Pettigrew Harry sees in Snape's Pensieve will be played by Charles Hughes.

Dawlish: Richard Leaf will play the Ministry Auror.

Nick Shim: He's set to play Zacharias Smith.

There are some picture on mugglenet. Not for all of them though.

I heard the guy who plays Sirius in the movie won't be coming back and they might even cut Sirius out the movie completely.

I wonder if the director even reads the books, this film is gonna be so lame. :(

He can just cut Sirius out, that'd just be ridiculous. "Sorry Rowling, the main event's been scrapped so we can fit in more Emma/Rupert moments that aren't even in the book." Seriously, it's not feasable.

The scary thing here is I wouldn't put it pass Hollywood if they thought they could get away with it!

The chicks that played Padma and Parvati are returning. As well as the guy that played Nearly Headless Nick in the first two films.

That's because for the most part there's nothing interesting on TV or playig at the theaters these days... The **AAs like to blame piracy (both downloaders and people buying from the street) but fact is if they had content worth watching they'd be unable to keep people away.

Think back to how many times people used to go and see the same movie twice in the theater because it was cheap, they liked the film, and IMHO more importantly these days weren't subjected to an hour's worth of %$#+ commercials before the actual film started. It wasn't so bad (a bit irritating but not bad) when it was all previews and trailers of coming attractions, but why do I need to sit through commercials about #@+& dishwashing soap or for a ####ing car? Given that I managed to get to the show I don't think I'm doing too badly on my ride thank you very much! Heh these days I'm almost totally disinterested in Hollywood productions.

--bornagainpenguin (who thinks its a sign of something troubling if people woiuld rather buy copies of older television sitcoms they've likely already seen at least twice over buying or watching something new..)
