As far as Naruto Sensei goes, I think Naruto has some kind of fling going on with Anko, in that one.

Read the whole Chains of Blood posted chapters. Loved it. It's a 4.5, up to 5 since I liked it so much (and I love Merril). The review (it has spoilers):


"An incredible story without a doubt. Garret POV is always a good reading, seeing his changes and thoughts, it was all incredibly done. Merril is my second favorite character, she is fleshed out in a excellent way, all acording to canon. Varic is well, Varic. Carver is an ass, but you can understand him. The changes in the plot were pretty good, none were, even if I prefered the canon version.

I dislike Isabella, a lot. And I liked her in the game. Leandra became a better a character as she got more focus. My favorite parts were (SPOILER) Bethany's death and the fleeing from Lothering and Ostagar. Both scenes made us feel all the emotions Garret felt, something that the game couldn't do (specially the fleeing).

Great writing, great characters, even greater characterization. But the descriptions were the best. The emotions, were fleshed out in an excellent way. Garret's ambition and emotions were very fun tom ead. My only criticisms are how little focus you gave Anders and Fenris, and even Varic a little. Anders is damn whiner, so I can understand that. But we barely know Fenris, and he is with Garret all the time. A shame, since I liked him in the game. Aveline also kinda disappears from the story until (SPOILERS)!the desire demon used her appearence."

Dear lord, its the mission to wave. Can't remember the last time I put up with one of those. Never really could get into older Naruto or Harry Potter fics. It always seemed like the frame of reference was too disrupted.

 

Any good fics on Skyrim, specially one with Aela or Serana? I read Dragons, the Eragon/Skyrim crossover, and really liked 4/5. The humour is good and I really liked the Dovahkiin, if his personality was inconsistent sometime and in others he just didn't make any sense.

 

Ms Katonic has done a few. Her main series has Cicero as the Dragonborn, and her newer piece has Elisef as the dragonborn. Aela appears in both, but not as a huge character.

So uh... why shoudl we read this? Is it funny? Is it action? is it a character piece?

Kind of need a little more than a url and a summary.

 

There's really honestly nothing to say besides the summary which announces it's crack and what Castiel does. It's a light oneshot of Castiel choosing Claire Novak rather than her father Jimmy.

 

I've gotten really into Evangelion lately, so I have a few solid fics from an author named Random1377. I can't say I love everyone of his stories, but most of them at the bare minimum are solid time wasters. Some of my favorites:

Not your standard story based off of the kiss Shinji and Asuka shared, and I'd definitely rate it a solid 3.5.

Misato is portrayed in a very negative light, and rightfully so. Shinji slowly gains a bit of a backbone, but he definitely is manipulated by just about everyone.

I can't think of anything else that really jumps out in my memory, Spacebattles had a few decent ones floating around, and TFF has some older ones that haven't been mentioned in some time.

 

Fair warning, Its sequel gets a little... weird. Almost preachy. In fact I think it garnered so much dislike that there's a fanfic response called the Doorstopper I think?

Honestly the only parts I liked in the sequel were the ones with Skuld and the communications daemon. Rampaging Liberating through the countryside in Faerun iirc.

 

The sequel is mediocre. While in the beggining it's fun, it later turns into curbstomp of other factions performed by New-Chaos. There is a counter-fic to this called "The Doorstoper", but it does the same thing, only changes the side that does the curbstomp.

Yes it is. And it's finished.

Aeon Natum Engel - DLP thread - This is what you get when you crossover Evangelion with CthulhuTech, which in itself is a crossover of Evangelion, Guyver and Cthuljhu Mythos. Long, well written, and finished. Finished, becuase the author decide it was subpar and started writting a better version.

Aeon Entelechy Evangelion - DLP thread - Better written then the previous entree. But it also suffers from it predecessors curse - a lot of technobable. If you want to read about Evangelions duking it out with Cthulhu Mythos enteties, and still preserving the feel of the original series (you could say that), than this fic is for you.

Taking Sights - Now this is an interesting thing. It's a Peggy Sue fic, but a little different Peggy Sue fic. This time instead os the usual cast of peggy-suers from Evangelion (i.e. Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Misato, Pen-Pen, etc.), you got the most dysfunctional person that could be sent over - Gendo Motherfucking Ikari. Read about his awesome adventures as he tries to untangle his web of conspiracies, intrigue and mindfuckery he weaved. Also, it apperas that he is haunted by a spirit from the End of Evangelion.

NGE: The Good Father - What would happened if Gendo found his self-resolve and did not abbandon Shinji after the failed Contact Experiment performed by Yui? Basically, it's a heart warming story, about Misato taking care of Shinji, Asuka and Rei, when they are small children.

Solenoid Flux - EVA/Fate/Zero crossover. Instead of Lancelot, Kariya summons a spine-less child-hero from the end of the world. Also GEHIRN somehow got wind of the War.

 

Evafic? Oh my. Evafic was my first fandom. I'm afraid my memory is sketchy about details of good fic, sadly lots of other good fics have been lost over the years, but I do remember at least the names and authors of some great ones.

First and foremost, if you want deep, well written, incredibly characterized eva fanfic I can think of nothing better than the entire collected works of Strike Fiss

Most Notably, and most importantly... Higher Learning.



I cannot compliment Higher Learning enough. It's epic length, fantastically well written, deeply moving, tense, gripping, emotive and addicting. After I've re-read it I'm putting it up for inclusion in the library, because it's a fucking shame that it's not there. When Higher Learning first hit the Eva Fanfic Community (near the end of the heydays of the Eva Fandom) it took the entire fandom by storm and is without a doubt in my top 3 Eva Fics of all time.

Holding Hangs is a two part Asuka/Shinji romance (with citrus elements) that I remember loving incredibly. Shinji has just a bit more spine than normal. I haven't read it in years but now I'm about to. Probably for the fifteenth or twentieth time in my life.

Shinji the Casanova is a Shinji/Asuka comedy-romance with hints of Shinji/Rei and Shinji/Misato. The story diverges from canon when a unique, strange angel is the one to attack NERV.

Just about Everything by Random1377 is at least readable, and some of his fics are far better than that. I personally prefer the Chances series starting with 'Should A Chance Be Taken?', Chain of Command is really rather good, and fairly long.As well as Aoi, which is a drama/angst fic worth reading if you enjoy that sort of thing at all.

The One I Love Is.... is a Shinji/Rei Shinji/Asuka (NOT Shinji/Asuka/Rei) Romance/Drama fic with great tension and fantastic characterization.

Chosen Is an Eva!Fantasy AU with elements of Everquest used for the backdrop/worldbuilding. I've been reading this fic on and off for a decade (cause it's taken the author that long to finish writing it).

Red Horseman's Phoenix Rising is a 135 page Shinji/Asuka romance novel that I remember personally bugging the author to finish on more than one occasion and even doing some beta/pre-reading work for! One of the first really good fics I beta'd for.

Together We Stand and Divided We Fall by Hotwire are, together, a quite lengthy post-series Shinji/Hikari romance-hurt/comfort that's very worth reading.

The Best Laid Plans by Ryoma is a great humor/romance romp about Asuka, Shinji and Misato pranking and teasing eachother in progressively amusing ways.. with an undercurrent of real character development and romance as well as plot that I can only remember fondly.

Finally, Last, but certainly not least is...

Payback by Warpwizard, a 9 chapter post-series Shinji/Asuka kinky, funny,, ridiculous sexstravaganza with elements of Ranma 1/2 and another, older anime I can't remember the name of. But let me tell you, this fic is probably solely responsible for dozens of hours of sweaty alone time during my teenage years.
