Outcast

A new show which deserves some attention. After 4 episodes I'm still not sure where this goes exactly but at the moment it looks to be a mix of

o Exorcist
o Supernatural's demon concept but without the whole campy comedy.
o Twin Peaks(a hint perhaps)
o Needful Things(maybe)

The camera work reminds me a bit of True Detective with great character actors. Doesn't feel like the usual TV production to me.

Raw, serious and a few really shocking scenes. No fast pace as this is character driven.

 

I watched the first 4 episodes last night. I was getting a true detective vibe also. Have enjoyed the show and like you I am not sure where the show is going from here - that's a good thing.
