At top level, Tracers still beat out Mcrees because they just don't get hit by flash bangs.

There is a comp do specifically counter high mobility heroes that involves double mcree guarding a bastion, which actuality won iirc. Even if the Tracer gets the jump on one Mcree, the other is there and the Bastion was so good it didn't matter.

That's one of the things I adore about this game. We went from one week people saying Tracer needs nerfs to that comp ultimately losing the week after to a specifically designed counter.

 

Mei walls on escort attacks are so OP. Throw a wall up in front of the escort between you and the enemy and you keep their bastion/torbjorn blocked from being able to do anything, while also cutting off whoever advanced to attack.


Had an amazing PotG yesterday and I wish they had already figured out a way to share them from the client : /. On Kings Row, right in front of objective A, I dropped a wall next to that little statue (with a healing pack inside it). After juking to the side, I drop my ult right under 4 of them who had been stopped by the wall(with a 5th on the edge), who also got caught in a Zarya ult at the same time. Instant quadrakill into a pentakill when I picked up the one right after.

Mei's survivability makes up for my horrible, horrible fps accuracy.

Tracer saw very little play, especially in the finals. Like almost none. Bastion saw little play as well, but he is a pretty specific pick for some maps, zones and comps.

 

Dunno which final that was, but the one I watched before release was basically more than 100% Tracer per game (as in there was always more than one).

 

I think he mixed up 'aimbot' with 'fucking bullshit'.

 

I love how on tapatalk, I only see the ridiculous gfy names instead of the videos. So ridiculous... Lol

Btw, does anyone know if there's a way to quick emote? Basically instead of pressing C and selecting emote...

 

Just go to Options -> Controls -> Communicate: Emote and bind it to something; it's empty by default.

Pug Life: First game of the day for me about 10 minutes ago, started off with offense on Temple of Anubis. Team mates pick Bastion, Widowmaker and Torbjorn, and no none of them could back up their picks on offense. They then proceed to blame each other over why we couldn't progress past the choke point. Hmm I wonder why.

Good news, mates on and he usually has a group going so I can get that initial sour taste out of my mouth. It is a bit salty.

Today I learned that you can get all the headshots but still lose King's Row if your team has no push.

 

I was solo-playing on a control map earlier today, I think it was Ilios. What I like to do on these maps is pick Lucio (no one goes healer most of the time, anyway) and start the game by speed-boosting my team to the point, because with pugs, in my experience, it's much easier to force the randoms to play together to defend a point than to attack it.

Teammate picks Mei and I'm like, "That's good. She can really kill it seeing that we'll basically be playing defense at first." So I move to the only exit door as we get closer to the start of the game and everyone groups up there to rush forward. Then the countdown hits 0... and Mei puts an ice wall in front of us, effectively blocking the exit.

I'm usually pretty chill and I get annoyed by the toxic and grieving randoms, but I can't help a shocked "OMG" in the chat. Still the ice wall goes down a few seconds later, we get to the point and play the game from there (we lose).

At the start of the next map, I say in chat something like "Please don't wall us in this time, Mei. ^^" A quip, barely a trace of passive aggression in there, I believe. I figured she had just made an honest mistake, maybe mis-clicked or thought it was a different mode and the enemy was waiting outside or something like that (she was level 6 if I remember correctly and pretty bad in game from what I could see). She doesn't reply, spraying around her left click merrily while the clock ticks down before the start of the game.

So, we group up to the exit, the timer hits 0, I Amp It Up and... she does it again.

Great troll or stupid player? I still have no clue, but you can imagine my saltiness for the rest of the game (we lost).

And I thought Mei was supposed to be annoying for the enemy team. ;_;

Does anyone know how you get Bastion up to the high point of the attacking spawn on King's Row? Got mowed down by one and I can't figure out how he got up there.

 

I would say a Mei Ice Wall, but off the top of my head, the range doesn't seem right for that.

Wait, if you switch heroes, do you respawn in the center, or where you were(I can't recall at the moment)? Because maybe that would work to get up there, then switch to Bastion.

 

The new Torbjörn comic is out and it was probably the weakest story so far.

Really hoping for a Mercy animated short.

 

Mei mains are subhuman filth and should be gunned down in the streets like the degenerates they are.
