It's fucking impossible to complete the mission with Ana.
A slog without McCree.
Hard without Soldier
You lose Hanzo, and you don't really notice much.

And completing it missing Soldier and Hanzo (both dropped in the final round) is horrific.

 

Hanzo is for clearing bots during boss fights, Junkrat and the rez clusterfuck.

 

Btw, in case you were unsure if the Overwatch dev team aren't the tits, this is Kaplan's response to the thread begging for the Witch Mercy rez line to be 'My servents never die.'

I posted my dumb Overbuff Account in this line.

From 2400 to 3000, it was Mei/Zenyatta with a little bit of Reaper/Lucio. Now that I'm above 3000, it's much more even spread between Mei/Zen/Lucio.

It's kind of funny that I'm much lower average at headshots compared to normal Mei's, but that is due to most Mei's being terrible and only right click if a target is frozen. The falloff is very minor until a massive amount of range passes and I've beat McCrees solo up till 3200 at range.

Also I just want to say. Yall that say solo is hell are baddies. I've heard from so many people that solo is impossible. My win rate in competitive is only 53%. If you play enough games you will end up being the only constant and you will climb if you are attempting to win. Mind, you will need to hit your head a bit until you play enough games to even it out, but it will happen.

I could give real advice to climb but it's mostly the simple stuff.

Pick what your team needs so you win more games overall.

Don't let your team tilt.

Call out stuff to make your team do stuff.

I'm going to use the word team a lot because it's a team game even in solo land.

Tis only game, don't haff to be mad.

 

Solo might be alright once you're above the 2800 mark, but below that it's hit and miss--and the misses are seething pits of hate and suck. I keep getting to the 2700s, staying steady for a while, then plummet on the back of people who don't know what they're doing.

I mean, I assume they don't know what they're doing because I didn't know Reinhardt was a DPS until I played him in games with these people.

 

I did solo through that range. I know it's stupid. The first and second time I got to 2700 I did fall back down 200/300 points. You just need to bash your head one or two more times and you will break through.

 

Y'all don't know what "playing with people who don't know whaf they're doing" feels like until you've played 1.3k ranked.

That said, I've been having a good couple of days, and climbed to almost 1.5k yesterday. #roadto3k

 

I feel ya. Even grouping up with 3-4 doesn't make it go easy. My biggest problem is the irregularity of the system. I win 2, I take X rank point. However, if after that I lose 2, I lose Y rank point where Y>X and I end up lower than when I started. That frustrates me...and I end up being tilted.

Will less personal gaming time than ever (due to baby) I'm thinking of picking up Overwatch. My brother plays a bit and is encouraging me. I've rarely felt ever played fps, so don't expect to be very good, but still want something to scratch the gaming itch. LOL has too long of timeframes for newborns and WOW seems a bit weird to go afk on. Is Overwatch reasonable enough to pick up and enjoy in a short time? I'm leaning to it for lack of other options, and because DLP seems to enjoy it and I've liked the other games you all have recommended.

 

A quick play match usually lasts around ten minutes. Probably wanna steer clear of comp if there's a risk of needing to unexpectedly afk.
