Could of been me, been playing a bit of Reinhaedt lately and Mercy. I want to go offense but everyone picks those so I'm usually tank or support because I'm a team player.

Edit: Probably me, not many people running around with Fardeki.

I blame lag.

 

I'm playing on my friend's account, so I won't bother yet. I've had my fill anyway.

At least while soloing, I really like Zenyatta, Tracer and Mai.

Symetra is fun as shit if you're defending.

I'm super terrible with pharrah and hanzo. I still have fun while being bad though - a sign of a great game imo.

 

After months of hype, I got an invite yesterday. I don't think that I bothered to eat.

For me, the most impressive thing is that it was exactly as fun as I thought it would be. I've watched hours of gameplay, done tons of research and kept up to date with patch notes despite not playing. None of this foreknowledge made the game any less exciting and interesting to play.

As a former Scout main in TF2, Tracer was obviously my new waifu. She is just as insanely powerful as I thought she would be. Once I got the map layouts down and my hit scan tracking in order, it felt like it was unreasonably difficult to kill me.

Reaper, Soldier: 76 and Pharah were all so hilariously easy to play and effective that it made me laugh. Still managed to have fun on 76 though.

Mai is incredibly satisfying to play. Getting off a freeze > headshot combo never stopped feeling good. Plus that melee animation is pure gold.

I'll probably try out some tanks today. Not normally my kind of thing, but I should give them a chance.

 

Heal 78% of damage taken as Mercy, not 1 commendation as a healer. Wheres the love all, wheres the love?

That's me done there is only an hour left of beta and I need sleep.

On review there really isn't anything to bag gameplay wise, it is as fun as it looks as others has said. No glitches that I found in the multiplayer gameplay, although if you do the tutorial, be careful not to kill the robots before they tell you to because they didn't keep spawning for me and it didn't progress. I had to restart to finish the tutorial. It will most likely be fixed by release.

The only real problem it has can be put down to beta and my location. The stability of the servers and latency was all over the place, but when it was working it was great. Since it's beta and there is probably limited servers etc, you could safely assume they will eliminate most of those problems on release. The problem is not to be understated it was terrible and ruined alot of games, but hopefully they are confident with extra servers and local authenticating that they can fix the problem.

As for the heroes, they all shine in the right environment and with the right combination. Some do get picked alot more than others, easier skill set and popularity etc, but I've seen them all shine which is great.

My personal favorites I found myself playing would be Reinhardt, he is extremely powerful holding down chokes with limited entries especially with a heal supporting and a Bastion in the back picking everyone off. Also D.Va is pretty fun, nothing like flying around and dropping on top of a Widowmaker. Boom bitch.

I played alot of Mercy, her heals are OP and you can cross the map very easily and keep everyone full health. If you start healing a ally you can hide behind a wall out of line of sight of both your ally and the enemy while still keeping a heal up. If your teams going good why not throw them some extra damage? Her pistol is no slouch either. Very powerful.

Went a few games as Mercy with only one or two of my teammates dying, not that it mattered because I revived them anyway. For my mind she is probably the only character that is nearly a must have in any comp with people who can play as a group. The others are great too, but Mercy is just too OP when played right.

Tracer is as fun as she looks but if you're a team player I found it hard to get a damage class without unbalancing the team. Damage is usually one of the first roles filled, and no it's not a good idea to have too much damage without utility and defense.

Full credit to Blizzard that was definitely the most fun I've had in a multiplayer game for awhile. I just pre-ordered it and can't wait until the end of May.

Now I have to go cold turkey for a month after one and a half days of play.

EDIT: Also I'll add that I've got a 6 year old laptop where my graphics card didn't hold up well in a comparison against the graphic card on Blizzards minimum settings. However the game ran smoothly once the settings were adjusted accordingly. True to all Blizzard titles you don't need a powerhouse of a PC to run their games, if mine can run it most likely yours will be able to too. All issues were server side, no client crashes or funny shit going on.

 

To those who didn't get an e-mail, check your battle.net launcher and click on Overwatch. If it says Install then you're in. I didn't get an e-mail but could still install and play. Sadly my desktop is in the shop and my lappy can barely run it. ><

Actually, I just remembered a major issue I had with the beta.

Since when did Hanzo announce his ult in English? I can't remember if I heard him saying it in Japanese too, because I only noticed him doing it in English. It sounded lame as fuck.

Mine was the Japanese version so maybe it was your mates settings?

 

I hope so. 'Let the dragon consume you!' is cheesy a f. Especially with how awesome the Japanese sounds.

 

Watching it now, really cool.

Btw, am I alone in screaming 'She's French, not Russian!' re the beginning of ep3, lol
