So I now have a friend Beta Key for Overwatch Beta if anyone wants it.

Wildfeather nabbed it.

 

Are the preorder keys already handed out?

 

Added mine already, it lights up your play button but you can't connect to the server : (


It gives us what, 2 extra days of the open beta before the beta shuts down?

 

Going away for 11 days on the 6th for my brothers 30th, get back before release but don't get to enjoy much of early access.

Do have the extra key though, let's see how desperate some of my mates are.

 

I thought it was an early access soft launch, but the preview open beta is only the 4th to the 9th iirc.

My guess is they want people to actually be desperate to officially 'play' at launch. It makes launch day more of an event than if they just said 'we are no longer in beta!'

Edit: wait, isn't it the pre order early access from the 3rd? Then the 5th for everyone else?

 

Let it all out, I already had my temper tantrum.

 

I did preorder on battle.net but haven't received my keys yet. The Faq there says I will get them before/on May 2nd, so, still a few days time for them to send it to me xD

Edit: okay, I'm an idiot, I overlooked the mail with my keys.

Edit 2: So, maybe a bit of a noob question, but the download of the game was like 6GB at the time. But in the system requirements it says one needs 30GB space. How does that work, exactly? Are we going to have to download additional 24 GB at some point in the next few days or what?

 

Naw most games state that these days, it's to cover for future content. Usually most games requirements will be at least double the actual download size.

 

Should be live, right? Are the servers melting? I won't be home for another 7 hours T_T

 

One of the downsides of using CD Keys, no access to any of the beta's or pre-loading till release day. Had to budget hard enough to to get the game even with their discount.

I can wait, only a couple more weeks... At least the Beta this weekend's open.

 

Had that can't log in problem at the beginning but that got resolved pretty quickly. Pretty fun game, like a lot of the heroes only I suck with most of them xD.

Here is to hoping I'll get better over the next few days.
