    Paperman.

    A black-and-white animated short film produced by Disney that recently got an Oscar nomination. Apparently they created it using some new techniques that merge computer-generated and hand-drawn animation. Effects are quite interesting and the story itself is nice too.

    Huh. I think I like this merge of hand-drawn animation and CGI.

    I have to admit that I sort of miss all the old fashioned animated cartoons -- seems like everything these days is in CGI. Well, everything that has a decent budget anyway.

    I saw this while watching Wreck-It in the theaters. I thought it was a amazingly done and hope it gets the oscar.

    That was pretty nice.

    I'm reminded of that sequence of pictures from the Cool Pictures Thread where a girl goes missing and the dude goes on an epic quest to find her. I though it'd be awesome as a short video and this is exactly the kind of style that would work.

    I remember that pic, it would be perfect for it.

    It would be really nice if they take this up so we can have more films that feel hand drawn, also the animation of the girl reminds me of Ariel, but that may be just me >_>

    Saw this before Wreck It Ralph, and it's superb - better, I thought, than the main film. Superb animation, and a really sweet, touching story. Love it.

    Lot of Ralph fans in here :)

    I saw it with my girlfriend at the cinema. Very lovely, I've always like those little shorts before the main film.
