No matter how hard you hit the manacles, they just aren't breaking. Clearly, they're made of sterner stuff then the chains. You can't even rip the chains off of the manacles; without the extra leverage from the wall, all you do is pull at your own arm.

Dominic speaks through the veil, but nothing happens. It just blows forward with his breath.

You can use the chains and manacles as makeshift weapons. They count as clubs.

 

In quiet voice so that the none of the guards or other faculty members can hear.
"Well, looks like none of us are getting free of the manacles. Not with force anyways."

 

"Looks like we'll have to break out without them then. Let's just get this party started."

Dominic reaches into the veil, and pulls off a patch shaped like the Symbol of Asmodeus, still holding his hand underneath the veil. Underneath it, the patch writhes and twists, and in moments, Dominic isn't holding a patch anymore. Instead, he's holding a silver holy symbol of the Lord of Hell.
