I can divert at least some of the guards with the ogre, once they open our cell, and the lot of us can attack what's left and regroup from there. Anybody have a better plan?"

 

Zadok's eyes widen, and for a moment he's on the verge of saying something before he shuts his mouth and looks away as his mind goes through an internal struggle.

 

I hide the symbol under my shirt, and continue rubbing the veil on the wall.

 

With nothing else to do looks around at what the others are doing and sees the oddity of Dominic rubbing a Veil on the wall and just sits there watching it.

"Well, one of the fellows in this cell has lost his mind, what shall become the rest of us? Shall we too lost our minds at our oncoming death? Of course not! Or not I at least, isn't that right? Haha just so."

 

"Alrighty, plan time. The Seductress over there lures in one of the guards, I choke him out from behind, we steal his stuff and run like hell. At the same time, if someone can incite that ogre, do it. We'll use the distraction to slip out in the chaos. Any questions or other ideas?"

 

"Nice holy symbol, Cleric. I don't really care right now where you got it. I just want to get out of here. This illusion is lasting us 30 seconds more, then we're going."

Once I dismiss the illusion, I'm going to hold an action to cast color spray at the group of guards entering the room. With the idea to get as many of them as possible, and as little of us.

 

I glare at Marcinus. "It was not your place to speak, Sorcerer." I take it out of my shirt and cast detect magic on it more obviously.

I move so that if the door were to open and a person to step through it, I could easily grab onto them from the side. I ready an action to do just that. Ideally, I'd put them in a chokehold and cover their mouth so they can't shout, but I'm not quite sure how to translate that into an action

Dominic examines the veil more carefully with his magical senses and eyes. The veil is still radiating fierce magic. And all of the other patches look similar to the first one.

 

"Or.... You see that female guard over there? The one with the badge on her arm? Looks like the commanding officer?

Ruby will use her Changeling Trick to shift into the form of this girl. Her jet black hair quickly shifts into the deep red matching the guards. Her breasts grow slightly, and she shrinks down to a diminutive 5'0 even. Her eyes shift to a emerald green.

"How about we take the easy way out, hmm~?

 

I raise an eyebrow at Ruby then turn back to more important matters.
I peel the rest of the patches, no longer making it a secret. "The Lord always pulls through for his favored."

 

I move so that I can keep an eye on both the door and Dominic who I'm certain has either lost his marbles or is about to pull some major mojo.

Glances at the transformed woman and asks quietly,
"And that'll work against any magical detection they might have?"

 

I still have the message from post 115 readied for when the first guard enters our cell (or ready it again, if necessary)

"Where the fuck has this been? We have an oracle who has apparently been hoarding objects of power, a witch who transforms into the head of the guard, and a sorcerer who is trying to force us to move. I was ready as well just moments ago, but let us sort through this first. Enough trade secrets and withholding powers! I don't care if we work together past the gates of this prison, but for now we have to work together. They will kill us otherwise!"

 

"If I had told you that I could shapeshift, would you believe me? Besides, they kill people like me!"

 

Zadok grins savagely. "Well this certainly changes things. Lead on, Commander"

I move out of the way and bow to the shapechanger.
