They cluster around Dominic for a moment, but not for long. They're in and out before you get much of a chance to do anything. Plus, your fingers are still bound from the last time they were in here.

You are ushered down the hall and through a few doors, into a small side room. Sitting in the room is one of the most hauntingly beautiful women you have ever seen. He hair is so platinum blonde that it appears to almost be white, and her eyes, a deep green that seems almost unnatural. She is dressed entirely in mourning clothes, with a black dress and a white veil, which she is dabbing her eyes with. She has clearly been weeping.

“Oh, dearest,” proclaims the unfamiliar woman. “I’m so relieved you’re alive!” She quickly turns to Tomas. “Could we please have a moment alone, good sir? For pity’s sake?”

Tomas goes blank for a bit and then quickly agrees. “Of course, my lady. For you,’ tis no problem.”

You can tell that this woman has some sort of power over Blackerly.

Blackerly shoves you into a chair, and grunts. "Make no trouble."

The guards leave you alone in the room with this mysterious woman. She looks you straight in the eyes, her and her tears fade as if they had never been. And then she smiles.

It is not a nice smile.

"Hello, Dearest. A pleasure to meet you."

 

Ruby tries to stifle her giggles but breaks out into full out laughter, almost reaching a shrill cackle.

"Oh god! He was! and he took! ahahahahhahahahhahahah. Oh THIS is priceless. I think it's time to sit back, everyone. Something wicked this way comes."

Hadzan looks appraisingly at Ruby, then whispers

"What do you know? Something is clearly up, but... I don't know. It seems as though they would have at least checked the half-orc..."

not much point in linking this but since my perception check was a nat 20 I wanted to share so I wouldn't be tempted to use it for anything else.

Lexgud grunted before shifting in place. His unusually long arms were getting uncomfortable being placed above his head for so long, but there wasn't much he could do about it. He certainly would have no such visitors, and even if he did there was no one Lexgud wanted to see here. Come to think of it there was no one Lexgud really wanted to see at all. Being alone would be better than being surrounded by all these magic users.

It seemed like it might be worth it to try and work the new chain out of the wall more slowly this time. Now that he knew he had the strength to break the moorings out of the wall, the trick was doing so quietly.

"Get a little louder" Lexgud said, jerking his head towards the wall where the his arms met the chain. Flexing his muscles and miming pulling "I can barely hear you guys."

You don't really sense anything other then vague amusement coming off of her.

She smiles, amused by something you said.

"Indeed, dearest. The blessings of Asmodeus reside within me. And around me. But no matter."

“Call me Tiadora. We possess a mutual friend who would like to meet you and your fellow cell-mates. Unfortunately, our friend is unwilling to visit you in
your present rather shabby accommodations so it seems you must escape.

After all, just because it’s never been done before is no reason you can’t be the first."

“If you manage that, cross the moors on the outskirts of town. On the old Moor Road you’ll see a manor house with a single lantern burning in the second story. There our mutual friend waits. That is all I know. He did want me to give you this.”

She takes off her silken veil and mimes wiping away a few tears with it.

“Something to remember me by, dearest.” She puts the veil in your hand, and closes your fingers around it. Her skin is hot to the touch, and you feel your skin crawl a bit under her fingers.

You may try and wiggle out of your finger bindings if you'd like. DC 10, because it was a rush job.

Under the cover of laughter, Lexgud pulls quickly, and the chain pops out of the wall without making a sound. A guard does look in at that moment, but luckily the Hobgoblin is in a shadowed corner of the room. Lexgud raises his hand back up, as if he was still chained, and the guard seems not to notice.

If I can do it without any guard noticing, I attempt to wrap the veil around my torso, under whatever clothing I have. "May the Lord's choir sing its infernal song throughout your path."

When the message triggers (ie when the cell is reopened), it should read "You are even more pathetic than I expected, Grumblejack! I would've thought that even a stupid beast like you would at least be a threat. You are supposed to be an ogre, after all! I guess a couple beatings neutered you. Perhaps we should go round up more ogres, you certainly haven't been an issue to tame! You could only ever be a threat if you were to make it to those nearby prisoners, forsaken fools like yourself, and join them, but we both know that you are too stupid and weak for that. I suppose I'll just see you at the execution!"

As you and your cellmates laugh, you overhear the guards.

"See? There she goes! I'm telling you, Kristoff, she deserves to be in there as much as any of those others!"

"But all she did was try and steal some money! The rest have killed, or burned, or blasphemed against Mitra!"

"She ran a long con against one of the higher ups in the King's Council. And from what we found when we got her, she had no need for money. Trust me kid, she's where she belongs."

There's an angry sigh. "I'm sure if the right man just could talk to her..." The conversation trails off into muttering.

The guards left you alone with her. You pull up your shirt, and wrap the veil around your midsection.

She smiles again, and it has no warmth to it. "Three days, dearest. Tick-Tok."

Her message delivered, she rises and the guards return. Immediately, he demeanor once more changes and she again a perfect picture of grief. "No, I can't bear to leave you!" She kisses you on the cheek. The kiss is burning hot and feels somehow alien and inhuman.

Blackerly shakes his head. "I'm afraid it's time, miss."

She looks deep in Tomas Blackerly's eyes and says, "Thank you for letting me say good-bye. There's no need to search my dearest. You are such a good friend for letting me see my dearest one more time."

"Such a good friend," Tomas repeats, his voice almost mechanical. Then the watch sergeant seems to snap out of it and bows politely. "A pleasure, madam," She leaves, unveiled. Her eyes meet yours one last time, and she gives you a wicked smile.

"Three days," echos her voice in your mind. "Don't disappoint me, dearest." The visitation concluded, you are put in regular cuffs and walked back to your cell.

Once the guards are gone, I stare at each member of the group, after a while I speak:
"Now is the time we leave. Work to rid yourselves of your chains, and if you get them free, help another, even if it goes against what you heathens believe in."
