"And what is that, friend? Did your mysterious visitor give you any aid to free us? True, it is only fabric, but we were searched quite thoroughly... I find it unlikely that any gift you were given was without reason."

 

As you work, a guard comes over directly in front of your door's barred window. But he looks in seconds after Marcinius' spell goes off. He sees nothing but everyone asleep, and nothing out of the ordinary.

Hadzan and Marcinius are also pulled free from the wall, though the manacles still dangle from their limbs. If precision work is called for, and the chains are still attached, it could be trouble.

In combat, to cast any spells, you will need to pass a DC15 concentration check, in addition to any other checks you might have to. Once you get the manacles off, this penalty will cease.

"Perhaps while the spell still lasts we should free the others. We will need to move quickly when the time to escape comes."

 

Who is still left over? I know, mine, Custer's, Vir's, Typhoon's are free, Dom's is elsewhere, so that leaves Lexi's, Wild, and Brukel's right?

 

For the ensuing future, I'm going to take all the time I need to completely free myself from my chains, and then spend as much time as needed freeing everyone else on down the line. I'll be back in a bit.

 

Wild is free, and Dellez spoke to us and there was a perception check involving him being in the cell, so I assume he's here. So Dellez (Dominic), Lexi (Ruby), and Brukel (Roland) are all that remain chained

 

Lexi (Ruby), Wild (Luxgud), Brukiel (Roland), and Dellez (Dominic) are all still chained up. Luxgud has an arm free, however.

 

Having freed Hadzan, I move my way over to begin working on freeing Dominic next.

Marcinus looks over to where the his companions are being freed one by one. Knowing that he is too weak physically to break out of his restraints completely he goes over to stand in a corner and concentrate on fueling the magic keeping the illusion in place.

"If you get a chance, we need to get completely out of these."

"Agreed. I can likely manage, even with these hampering me, but I will be far more comfortable with my hands completely free."

Your religious knowledge doesn't tell you much about the symbols, for only one is relgious in nature. A patch of the inverted pentagram holy symbol of Asmodeus has been stitched into the center of the veil. The rest are more patches, all of other items.

You concentrate on the veil for a moment. It is definitely magical, and appears to be giving off a mild magical transmutation aura.

 

"Hey, if you guys can get these chains completely off of me, I promise I can help us walk through this place with impunity. No one will even bat an eye."

 

Lexi why do you always use italics? I translate that in my head as abnormal speech.

 

I always use italics for speech, bold for action and regular text for OoC.
