Good books. I've read all of them, and was slightly disappointed at the end of Raven Rise.

As to Rostam, no... I don't even have to have read the last two books to know that ain't happening, or at least not in a permanent way. Machale dabbles lightly in the more visceral and nitty gritty stuff, but its still very much a preteen book.

I'm still a bit shocked about gunny's hand but I figure Machale was trying for a more realistic approach at the time.

IE The first few minutes of Saving private ryan.

You know I was wondering that myself.... All he'd really have to do is go back to first earth add in another note to the bank vault and have it forwarded to himself in the present to correct whatever the hell he wanted. He could totally rewrite history for all of hala and still be playing with in the rules.

Courtney and Mark weren't travelers, they can't come back from a collapsed flume. They were just like everyone else. It wouldn't be called the Bronx massacre if each of those people had the chance to come back. I'm sure this isn't the last of them, but I think from now on we are going to see them more as ghostly figures than real people.

Question:

Who were you more saddened by, Alder or Patrick?

 

yeah... you know if bobby ever does think about it though Machales going to invent some rule to say, yeah it was okay the first time, but doing it more is bad for so and so random reason.

That's why I'm hoping the series will end with the very next one or the one after that.

Too much time has gone by for bobby to not have gotten any smarter.

Edit: They may have not been travelers but one of them had the ring so I'm guessing that'll play into question some how. Besides that replacement traveler for second earth will definitely show up again, and if he could survive so could they.

Raven Rise happens to be the next to last book.

Pendragon fanfiction is a bit hard to write it would take somebody with skill like Jbern or Nonjon.

 

Really? I was more saddened by Patrick. Alder was a warrior, I felt that he was meant to die. Patrick was nerdy, and confused, and just thrown into this. I think he died a heroes death.
