I want to see an alternative sorting of all major characters in Harry's year with that hat - basically the conversations the hat has with every student, before mis-sorting him to a house he hates just to fuck with him, like Malfoy to Hufflepuff and so on.

 

In every other naruto fanfic, every second person recognizes that Naruto has shit chakra control, but nobody ever tells him. They just "Hmm he has bad chakra control, what should I eat for lunch?" Kinda pointless. And stupid. And incredibly annoying to me.

 

Wasn't that basically canon though? I never thought his control actually improved and that he just learned chakra intense techniques to make up for it.
Which brings another peeve in fanfics. Naruto is told he has poor control so he goes off and makes thousands of kage bunshin to go learn water walking and all the other exercises, 24 hours later and Bobs' your uncle.

 

That is annoying, but at least somebody in that fucktard universe, should go and: "Naruto if you ever hope to have decent charka control then you have to do this, that and .... for all years. You know hard work, I heard you like that. Go Youth or something."

 

Ebisu talked to naruto about it. So did Iruka at one point in a flashback during part one rasengan training. Naruto was more interested in doing other things. I really wasn't until part 2 when Naruto decided to put his nose to the grindstone.

 

No. They told him he has bad chakra control. Then of course Ebisu taught him water walking, but he never explained to him what he was doing. Yes Naruto was immature and hyperactive, but if somebody took the time and explain to him that better chakra control equals more, better and stronger jutsus he would probably bury himself in chakra control exercises.

 

Ebisu definitely did explain that. He had diagrams and everything. Naruto just didn't listen because it was coming from "the Superperv".

 

When the author fails to surpass the boundaries of canon in a way sensible to the narrative. To wit, when mourning at length for the dead of the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry so often reflects on "Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Colin, and so many others." But with at least fifty other canonical fatalities drawn from a small fighting force to which he boasts various personal ties, Harry should easily recognize a greater proportion of the dead.

 

Angsty immortal MCs. God those piss me off. They're a staple of a lot of crossover fics... Especially Naruto ones where inevitably he ends up getting a harem of girls/women.

I haven't read any Naruto/Twilight crossovers (Probably should be a peeve this). But quite a few Star Wars crossovers... hell almost anything related to sci-fi has a few immortal Naruto fics.

 

A pet peeve of mine is when people writes a crossover between two fandoms, one of them often being Naruto, and the MC ends up with every god damn woman in the series, while at the same time shitting all over the other male characters. It doesn't help that the authors of those stories can not take critique at all.. Usually ends with them ranting about "Flamers" instead of listening

 

Or like Lionheart who, because of the flames, writes extra shitty just to somehow punish us. What.
