How do I report in fanfiction.net?

He's probably a high school kid who regularly copypastes his english work. Those retards get caught eventually, and the consequences are usually extremely severe, especially if they go back and check his previous work for plagiarism =P

 

In the lower part of the page, bellow the story and the review, yoou're going to see a button saying actions, click and report abuse is going to appear, click there and choose "not property of the author" and explain it.

 

Reporting, also it's an odd concept plagiarizing fanfic, it's even odder that they want to be praised for it...

I left a review and reported. And after doing that I took a few minutes to read just a little bit.

Seriously?

It actually hurts that this dude has more than three times the reviews I do. Not to be narcissistic or anything, and I hardly profess to be an excellent writer, but seriously, do people love this dungheap of amateurish writing and shittily-cobbled together plotting so much?

 

Word count counts for a lot. I've read your work, and it is of higher quality.

Besides, 200k+ words and only 380 odd reviews? Not an achievement.

Plagiarism is low.
Plagiarism of fan fic is just pathetic. It's the fastest way to show everyone that you have no ideas of your own and nothing worth saying, that there is nothing going on in your sorry excuse for a brain beyond the desire to receive the flimsiest of praise for deeds you did not even actually perform.

It's not like he's getting anything but reviews (and, possibly, trollish delight at the angry responses) for doing this, so the only benefit is the mindless praise of mindless people ("Write moar! Hurrr..."), for something he knows he didn't really do. I can only imagine that the kind of people who might actually be satisfied to even the slightest degree by such flimsy kudos, are either so shallow as to boggle the mind, or so hopelessly infantile in their capacity for true awareness, particularly SELF awareness, that rationality is completely beyond them.

It's as sad as it is lazy, selfish, and infuriating.

 

It must hurt for you, but my rationale is: The average user from ff.net is an idiot, and he likes shit, so he goes after shit. Good stuff is too complicated to him. Some truly good ones can transcend that, but it's hard. And also, there is what you write, most of those readers wants either slash, bashing, pairing, overpowering or just marty sues so they can identify.

In resume, this is immature, stupid, smug, pathetic and just plainly self-centered in the most obnoxious way. Just like the average ff.net user. In my humble opinion.

Also, can we ban this guy, from here at least, because of this?

 

Oh I feel no personal hurt whatsoever - the hurt I feel comes at the thought that anyone could possibly like shit like that. Which is why I host most of my stuff on DLP and nowhere else - a review here more often than not is worth a hundred on ffnet.

In any case here was his reply to my review politely asking him to take the stuff that wasn't his out:

The fact that he assumes public acknowledgment of plagiarism makes the act right boggles my mind so much that I may have an aneurysm. I may or may not have written an essay in response. I should really learn to shut down my computer and go to bed when confronted with stupidity on the internet.

 

I am endlessly amused by his responses to DLP reviews. Please, post some more.

 

He hasn't replied to mine. I feel so left out.
