    A strange idea I had from reading this conversation; the mirrior screws the pooch and drops the stone in Harry's brain, either giving him awsome magical powers. Or killing him. Maybe Retard!Harry has some possibility... could be a good way to make a snivellitus or draco relationship.

    I like Taure's idea, but it would be good to take it one step further, instead of the mirrior giving Harry knowledge, Harry breaks it to stop V from getting the stone. Then the magical backlash from the destruction of a repository of information/power hits Harry. Hmm... seems like a Spiderman setup.

    It's quite possible that the Mirror of Erised could be considered along the lines of a Dark Artifact; It certainly holds the power to bewitch the weak of mind, spirit or heart.
