    Let's be honest with ourselves.

If parahumans started appearing, they would be concealed by the various Ministries of Magic and the muggle witnesses would be Obliviated.

All the parahumans would be then located in the wizarding world.

Er. No. The amount of parahumans that existed in canon, especially in Africa, would probably make that impossibru.

Possibly, but I expect the ministry to have trouble covering up Scion. Or the Endbringers which may or may not exist depending on which theory on their creation is correct. I certainly would expect them to try, but I doubt they'd succeed for long. It really depends on the writer. Perhaps they mostly succeed except for a few who don't publicize it.

    Pokémon /Harry Potter Cross
This is in the same vein as Sorting Cats, Harry Potter: The Last Avatar (AU world meld).

    World set-up
Pokémon are the source of the most of the world’s magic. There is the same separation between the muggle and magical world. There aren’t any pokeballs, instead only a rare few (wizards/ trainers) have the ability to seal/bind Pokémon inside themselves. The maximum any one person has ever bound is six

    Binding/ Sync’ing (name undecided)
Binding Pokémon is incredibly dangerous though the act allows the individual draw and use power from the Pokémon.
    · Flying = Wind/ Aerokinesis
    · Fire = Fire / Heat
Some are Pokémon specific (Ratatta = speed, heightened smell)

The degree that someone can draw on their Pokémon’s power varies greatly. Typically Pokémon use more power with less control. If the power is drawn by a wizard the effects become smaller, though more intricate.

Examples – Electric Pokémon = Normal attacks
    Electric synced Master Trainer/Wizard=
    Ionic Control
    Electromancy
    Visual Illusions
    Nerve-control (Themselves and others)
    Magnetism

    Dangers
If you try and bind something too strong it can destroy you from the inside out. For example trying to bind a strong Charizard could result in it immolating you as it fights for dominance. For that reason most of the lower level “magical” population stick to normal type or young Pokémon. Pokémon grow stronger with age and plateau at levels that can’t be reliably predicted. The less gifted will bind younger Pokémon and release them if the Pokémon grows past a level they can handle.

People tend have a type alignment, finding it easier to deal with that specific type. Generally they can bind stronger Pokémon within that type.
Type alignment usually follows family lines. Purebloods have a great advantage as they are usually type specialists, having bound stronger and more exotic Pokémon within their types. Many of the strongest Pokémon have very long life spans and have been passed down family generations.

    Type Prejudice

Some Pokémon types/ specific Pokémon wielders are more valued by society. This usually is due to the versatility of what the (wizard?) can potentially do with their bond.
All this and a thousand other world ideas that I can’t be fussed to write at the moment

    Hogwarts
The best school in Britain mostly elitist Pureblood. Forbidden Forest massively expanded with various Hogwarts sites doted around in a network.

Rough basis of the world- any good?

I could see the Wizarding World covering up Parahumans for /maybe/ a few months, until either the first Endbringer hits or Scion decides to show up. Unless HP magic can somehow affect them, which would be the height of nonsense, they're not going to accommodate magical society's wish to remain secret. If anything, the Simurgh would probably go out of her way to fuck the whole thing up on her first appearance.

My big problem with this isn't the Statute of Secrecy, tho. I actually think it'd be pretty cool to explore the backlash of the Endbringers pulling back the curtain (or tearing it apart, as it were). My big problem is that HP magic is too consistently powerful to mesh with Worm powers. Everyone in HP is basically Eidolon, and while their skill levels do vary pretty wildly, there are more than enough that are near or at his level- Snape, Dumbledore, Voldemort, etc. Pitting a niche cape like Sundancer or Bitch against a competent wizard is just asking to get your shit wrecked.

Now, from what you wrote it seems like you'd want to merge the power systems rather than square them off against one another, but in almost all cases, powers would be little more tham a free spell for most wizards. It could even be a hindrance, depending on their trigger event and power. I can't think of a single power that Harry could get that he couldn't presumably recreate just as good or better with magic.

And then you have to take the Endbringers into account, how much or little you want HP magic to affect them, how much damage they can do to magical protections, etc. It's definitely not an easy mix.

The pokemon binding idea is really fun.

If you cut to the shinto base of pokemon, you could abstract them into something a little more mystical. The pokemon are the manifest spiritual essence of things like rocks, trees, and volcanoes. Maybe also more abstract things like time or lust.

These spirits can manifest and be bound/controlled by wizards. The advantage that purebloods have of powerful pokemon passed done the generations would be even greater, as pokemon do not die.

Didn't think of that but definitely something to throw into the mix. Perhaps as an ideology taught in school

    HP/Discworld

When Harry becomes the master of death, he would never have imagined it worked like this. When people think of master, they think of being the one in charge - that's not the case here. Instead, Harry is the master of Death, son and heir to the throne. There are only a few problems, one of which is that Death will never die, and he isn't exactly fond of having the Audtiors meddling in his business again. Meanwhile all Harry wants to do is go home, and get a hold of his burgeoning death-related powers. Things are made better (worse) when Harry meets Rincewind, the only wizard who gets into more trouble than he does.

Still under the influence of having rewatched the film recently...

    HP/Fight Club

Not precisely a xover, more of an idea of FC set in Potterverse. Basically, once you figure out your own way to put Harry in Azkaban, factually guilty or not, Harry says fuck-all and starts a Fight Club in the prison. I mean, prisoners must get out of cells sometime. I don't think even wizards would be so crooked to keep inmates in lock-up all the time.

Were I to write it (who the hell knows, I might), I'd probably settle for a situation where Azkaban doesn't quite function like your typical prison - prisoners would have more freedom of movement and to interact since their on a goddamn island in the North Atlantic. Sirius would probably be there, because I'd set the island far away enough from land to make the animagus escape impossible. Have Harry and Sirius lead the whole thing and get accustomed to the prison reality enough that when their sentence ends/they get pardoned for whatever reason, they might not want to leave at first. Let the plot unfold on its own from there.

You could try to pass off Harry's version of Tyler as the Horcrux within him. If you were to go that route, that is.

Why does it have to take place in Azkaban?

It would make more sense for it to take place after the war, with Harry as an Auror. Perhaps the AK did not kill the horcrux, but just the attachment to Voldemort (Allowing Voldemort to be killed, but a random bit of soul still clinging to Harry).

Harry is unsatisfied with the Wizarding World and since the war has been unable to sleep well. It can lead to the anti-corruption movement within the ministry.

I was reading an Azkaban fic just before I posted, so that's why I went with that. But you're right it would work just as well, maybe better out of prison.

Damn, now I kind of wanna write it, but I'll finish my current fic first.

I even wrote a bit yesterday, about a thousand words. Mostly the set up and just getting to the meat. I'll wait with posting in WbA until Ten Steps in done though.

You know, I thought about it for a while now and I want to know where did you learn that Frozen takes place in the 1800s?

I mean, I read that Tangled takes place in the 1780s and Frozen (being in the same shared universe) takes place 3 years after it.

So far as I could find via Google, there's no official line on when Frozen is set, nor if it's in the same universe as Tangled. I went with early 1800s just on the basis of the clothes.

Plus the fact that there are no signs of industrialization anywhere, which could translate into early 1800s.

Why would fictional worlds/lands follow our own world's technological development? For all you know, that world is just one of the forgotten worlds in the 40k setting, and Elsa is just a rogue psyker, and already there's a Black Ship on its way to pick her up to be fed to the God-Emperor.

Why wouldn't we use our own reality as a measuring stick? It's our imagination that brought those fictional worlds to existance in the first place.
