I actually looked up my old posts, and the one on Nagini!Voldemort was: either she becomes some kind of Serpent Queen, or decided that she has achieved perfection and slithered off to paradise, leaving the war behind.

 

There's no way Nagini turns into a girl without Harry having sex with her.

This reminds me strongly of the Harry-turns-Hedwig-into-a-girl-then-fucks-her story, I forgot who wrote that. I think that there's just cause for someone to do the same with Nagini. In fact, I demand that someone do this.

I was thinking more murder mystery than survival horror. The plot centers on uncovering Dumbledore's motives (and eventually ascending to his office) and defeating the witch. The idea of people getting eaten and/or absorbed serves as an instigator, rather than a stylistic mainstay. It's there to get the plot moving, and isn't the point of the story...

...unless Harry loses and the whole school gets mashed up into organ paste and absorbed, of course. Then it really would be central to the last chapter. :awesome

Hedwig actually IS a human being; she was just trapped in an animagus form. There's nothing all that strange about a human boning another human who they're feeling incredibly grateful toward. That they both end up as owl animagi and continue boning as animals, however, isn't as normal. And then they include Hermione.

A Harry that becomes an owl animagus and gets busy with Hedwig, only to end up having a trio of human-i-magus owl kids is pretty bizarre, but not as perverse as A Lonely Summer, because the owl sex only happened due to Harry needing to get drunk to complete his Animagus transformation.

Firewhisky is a hell of a drug.

How about a fic a century or so down the track featuring a Harry who has been there, done that, and has the scars to prove it, in a position of leadership as a new Dark Lord begins to rise?

Remembering the lessons of his youth, he calls for action but is ignored, while supporters of the Dark Lord move to sully his reputation (he's a has been, he's gone senile, it's time for the old timers to step aside, etc) thinking that if he can't rally the wizarding community against them, he won't be a threat. While Harry realises what is happening, the community as a whole doesn't want to hear about this new threat to their lives (maybe the Dark Lord has a 'friendly' public persona or is in the same situation as the Malfoy's pre HBP, or even holds high politcal office).

Old Man Potter then has to take matters into his own hands and prove to Wizarding Britain that he does indeed still have 'it'. The Dark Lord may even use his influence to paint Harry as the aggressor, using the Ministry to fight him as well as his own followers. Be a good way to have a powerful Harry that can't just curbstomp the Dark Lord and provide more conflict than just a few duels.

Really, I just want to see Badass!OldManPotter.

Had a bunny very similar to this for years, but never written it because it isn't Harry-centric, has a ridiculously long build up, deals with peripheral canon characters and OC's almost exclusively for the duration of that buildup, has flashbacks throughout of characters that aren't involved int he present day story, and is almost entirely a post-apocalypse setting, thus being far less political and more of a human story, fight for survival, clearer battelines, etc, etc. It's called 'Tom Hardy: At the End of the World' and I might give it a try at some point. Hmm. The only thing I could see working in its favour since DH and the Neville-meme phenomenom is that he's the main character.

That said, the flashbacks deal with Harry post-DH, and are strikingly similar to what you wrote there... except that he's not as old, and he doesn't actually win.
