    New promotional video for Black/White.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqcVf4Da23Q&feature=topvideos

If you don't want to suffer through not understanding the moonspeak, here's a basic rundown of what's inside:

After opening up with footage of what seems to be the opening credits of the game, the vid goes into explaining the C-Gear's features.

If you keep your Wireless settings on while playing, you will automatically connect with other Pokemon B/W players nearby. Your status and actions will be visible, and you can see what other players are doing as well, whether it's fighting wild pokemon, or almost losing against an enemy trainer. You can help each other out by using special items- you can offer to heal other players' pokemon if they're in a pinch, and offer powerups and other help to them.

High Link allows you to visit other players' Worlds- you'll essentially be playing in their game, beating specially arranged missions that have rewards for both players.

There's a new Pokemon Contest-esque minigame in the game, called Pokemon Musical. You dress up your pokemon, and have them dance around to music. I know. Kind of stupid.

Feeling Check is a two-player minigame where you tap your screens in rhythm to check your 'compatibility'. If you score high enough, you'll receive items as a reward.

In terms of actual pokemon battles, there's some cool news. You don't need to visit a PC to battle: by using a IR (infrared) connection, you can battle or trade even if you're in the middle of nowhere. There's also a new battle system called Rotation Battle, where you have three pokemon on a wheel, and rotate the wheel to 'switch' pokemon. It's basically a 3vs3 Singles match where you know which pokemon your opponent has.

The video then goes into explaining Pokemon Dream World, which has been explained before. In a nutshell, you can put pokemon in your Boxes to sleep, and use them to play on your computer. There, you can obtain pokemon that don't appear in the wild in Isshu.

You'll be able to bring up to 6 pokemon from previous DS pokemon games at a time, by completing minigames as well.

There's a lot of footage after with Trainer battles, lots of new wild pokemon, and awesome landscape shots.

And also: environments in your game will change to the seasons. Depending on the time of year, there will be snow, leaves blowing in the wind, or it might be very bright. Weather will play a bigger role in the game.

It all wraps up with some anime footage of Reshiram and Zekrom about to duke it out on some mountain tops, and a shot of Victini.

Words cannot express how fucking hyped up I am for this game. /goes to reserve on amazon

I guess when you already have a Pokémon to represent damn near every colour, element and animal as well as abstract concepts like time, space, nature, emotion and God... it's time to start putting rockets up their shitter and see what happens.

I am pretty exited for this. Pokemon Black/White and the new Golden Sun are the games I wait most for right now.

So yeah, Black/White looks pretty good. Both gameplay wise and graphically. I especially like Zekrom. I don't care about how good or bad it is in battle, it just looks damn cool. I'm also totally cool with the tech aspects to it, even if it is a bit "Digimon".

I'm playing HeartGold at the moment, just won my 4th badge. My friend code is "4942 0247 5628". I'm not ready to battle yet, obviously, but I may want to trade my Graveler to become a Gollem at some point, if anyone with HG/SS feels like helping me out.

They're fake. The guy came out and admitted it, according to Serebii.

It's a shame that Smugleaf's evolution isn't happening: I actually quite liked that one. I doubt that the real one they pull out will be better.

Actually, the fake ones in the link Loki posted were thought to be real because of the first grass and water evos looking close to what was revealed in the anime spec drawings a few months back: http://pokebeach.com/2010/07/preview-of-black-and-white-anime-new-pokemon-revealed

Given that those same spec drawings revealed several new Pokemon ahead of time correctly, it seems likely that the first grass evo will still look as good, somewhat.

Probably no to the dragon thing, though, if that's what you meant.

Yeah - mostly the milotic look-alike body was what I liked about it. I originally thought they'd be fakes because they jumped so far from the second evolution to the third, especially on the water starter. Didn't know that the second evos had already been leaked, though. Thanks.

This is the first time I'm tempted to pick up the green starter.

So, okay, the last Pokemon I played was Ruby. I'm horribly behind the times, but if I can be assed to buy the console to run these games, sure I'd play. On that note, exactly which handheld should I get?
