I though Dragonite has the 2nd highest Max CP topping out at 3500. Only Mewtwo is higher

 

That is true, but its not the whole story. Things like attack speed (and thus, attack damage per second/dps) play a huge role in how much damage you're actually doing. Also stuff like typing matters.

And yeah, I walked somewhere between 6 and 10 km today hunting charmanders in a 2 hour span, then probably another 1-2 at a happy hour/restaurant sponsored Go event. Got a really sweet burger for $5 off, and then half off my first drink and the second one was free. With around 3 lures surrounding me while eating and another set of hotspots fairly close.

I've been traveling to major parks around me, looking for pokemon nests. Luckily, someone posted about a vulpix nest near me : ).

I have more candies that I can power him up with, but I'm dust limited : (.

 

For anyone living in California, Santa Monica Pier is stupid good.

All Water, Fire, Grass, Electric, Bug, Dragon, Normal, Fairy, Poison, Psychic, FIghting and Ground types spawn on and around the pier. And I do mean all (minus the legendaries, of course).

EDIT: As I keep adding to the list, it might be more appropriate to say that the only pokemon I haven't seen there is a Jynx and the region exclusives.

 

From what I've seen, it's basically a festival of pokenerds there every night, and iirc, cell data plays a role in spawns.

 

Have now started naming my pokemon based on their IVs so I don't have to use the spreadsheet every time.

 

So on Pokemon go when you see that Pokemon are nearby how do you catch them/how do you know which way to go?

 

Currently? you don't because shit's bugged. In the future, once fixed, paw prints will decrease as you get closer.

Day 4 of playing Pokemon GO: reached level 9. Pokedex at 33 owned and 34 seen (that one Seadra that got away...)

The ingame counter tells me that I've already walked a total of 22.1 kilometers, which is pretty good all things considered.

 

Is there an ingame counter outside of the incubators?
