I was getting a lift yesterday at about 30 mph, and whilst it didn't count for hatching an egg, as long as your reflexes are up to snuff, you can still trigger pokestops and capture attempts (AR off though).

All done whilst a passenger.

 

So all the folks that are able to play are using Google log-ins, yeah?

Stupid me, using the old Pokemon account I had hanging around. Figured there'd be Pokemon-account specific events or something.

Turns out they were a lot more unprepared for the flood than I thought, the log in system has been down for so long now.

 

Iv'e had no issues being able to login or play using a google account.

Just about managed it at 40mph today, but you really have to be on the ball - the pokestop has to start and stop spinning before you leave the area, so it basically needs to be on the inside of curve.

I attempted to catch pokemon at up to about 60, and managed to start the battle. Both fled before I managed to actually catch, but I got off two attempts at each (Both were Rhyhorn). I did manage a catch without issue at 40 (Gastly), but caught it on the first attempt.

Also, does anyone know how they decide where the pokemon spawn?

Eevee is random evolution too i think- you don't get to chose which one it evolves into with your eevee candy.

I'd make a Google account, but it would be starting over completely and risking a potential punishment in the future for having multiple accounts or something. Not sure what their official rules say on that, to be honest, but it's not uncommon to punish multi-accounts. =/

So frustrating.

 

Been dabbling for two days, kinda and it is fun to run around and see how much the game knows of your neighborhood via the special spots and all. Still have to reach level five, so, we'll see how fighting will be.

So far, the game has been fun.

 

I've never watched a Pokémon episode, never played any of the games. Installed this yesterday and was hooked instantly. I'm amazed at how many stops, gyms, and things are in my small town of under 10k. Looks like this weekend will be a busy one if the weather holds up.

Oh, and I'll be in Seattle tomorrow for football as well. I'll report my findings if Mrs. Seattle doesn't push me into traffic for being too crazed with this.

I'm lucky that I seem to be one of only two people in my town, so I have 6 gyms under me and my normal walk crosses 2 rivers and the centre city so I have lots of different environments.

 

Been raining for a few hours, was waiting for it to stop, and right when it does, the servers seemingly crash. Fuck this >_>

 

There's a Chansea much lower... Don't think I'll be getting much more of those.

It's been pretty accurate across our group.

 

I picked up 6 gyms today, in between server crashes, though ive already lost 1.

Also picked up a Golduck, a Vulpix, a Seaking, and hatched another goddamn Pinsir.

My 507 Pidgeot is wrecking all the gyms for me, though.

 

I decided to check this out while I was having lunch at a lake with my brother. I was on top of a pokestop and had three magikarps and a tentacruel walk up to me while I was eating. Good times.
