As far as I'm aware, there isn't a DS emulator out there that can run SS/HG without problems.

I reckon everyone should stick to the pokemon you can find in the area. No trading over from other games/doubling up on starters. I'm lookin' at you, Shovel.

 

Playing Soul Silver, Jenkins. Building an epic team from eggs. I'm seriously thinking of Croagunk or Yanma.

 

Croagunk is awesome. My team > all though.

 

Added Hitmonchan (Sky Uppercut, all three elemental punches) to my aforementioned team and kicked out Typhlosion for Ho-oh (used the forgotten move tutor in Blackthorn to reteach it Brave Bird over its default Fire Blast). I almost never use Legendaries and really never replace my starter but this time is going to be an exception. Going to roll the E4 later today.

 

Watch out for Lance, they overpowered him a little. Wasn't a problem for choice specs gengar but a lot of people are having trouble with him if they don't have a pokemon dedicated to taking those three Dragonite down.

 

Fuck your Gengar Celtic.

 

I think I can take Lance out between Hitmonchan's Ice Punch and Gyarados with Ice Fang. If I have to, I'll have Gyarados pump up with a few Dragon Dances against one of Lance's weaker Pokemon and sweep the Dragonites easily.

 

Decided to go a little old school with my team in HG. Feraligatr, Ampharos, Sandslash, Raticate, Noctowl, and Ariados.

Biggest surprise is how much they beefed up Noctowl.

 

And that's easily done. I Dragon Danced four times with my Gyarados against Lance's and absolutely wrecked his shit from there. All three Dragonites and Aerodactyl went down to one Ice Fang, and one Waterfall KO'ed Charizard.

 

Lulz, I love people sweeping the best the game has to throw at them.

Granted, Red has higher leveled pokemon but seriously thery're shit. Pikachu can be knocked out by a well timed surf ffs. Can't wait until I get a Celebi so I'll be able to battle Giovanni.

 

Now going around collecting gym leader phone numbers to do rematches. For some odd reason Misty isn't appearing where she's supposed to. I'm inside the time frame and I've already caught Suicune so I have no idea why the fuck she's not showing up.

 

I found one and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'd .... until I got past the first gym and it freezes.

Im using desmume with the occasional crash here and there, desmume requires a really good computer though. I've heard that No$Gba DS 2.6a emulator works perfectly with the AP action replay code and the prepatched rom.
