Damn you guys. I found my Silver after going through this thread, and I'm currently in front of Whitney, just beat her. Only pokemon; Magikarp, level 26. 27 hours clocked so far.

The infamous Magikarp only run? Methinks Rollout will decimate your measly defense stats.

Oh, and have fun with Morty. Ghost types. Yeah. Tackle will be awesome.

Last night, caught Raikou. Entei is now being a bitch, unfortunately. 3 out of 4 times he's in my route, he runs if I don't find him first battle, which seems to happen alarmingly often at the moment, even when there's only one grassy area. Nevertheless, progress. Latios is going to be hard to pin down. There's no real good central area with two connected routes like the routes below Ecruteak and above Goldenrod in Kanto.

I tend to give all the pokemon I catch inane nicknames based on their characteristics or names. What I'm trying to say is that I accidentally named my Tauros 'Taure'.

Wouldn't really be much use to give pics, because there's nothing I can show with one picture to show I'm not, say, using any other pokemon and just leveled megakarp for the hell of it. Not until I get to E4 at least, and I doubt I'd make it that far. I've gotten to Morty, and I'm thinking I'll level up for a few hours until I can easily Struggle the ghosts to hell. X Attack is basically the only reason I beat Whitney, and I'm really hoping for it's help with Morty too.

I thought struggle was a normal type move?

    EDIT:

Struggle takes "typeless damage" - no Pokémon can gain STAB from it and it is unaffected by type matchups.
    • This also makes Struggle the only Normal-type move which can hit a Ghost-type opponent without the aid of Odor Sleuth, Foresight, or Scrappy.
    I see.

    DOUBLEPOST

    Too late to edit.

I now have a Flying Pikachu, a surfing pikachu and a volt tackle pikachu. Attempting to clone.

Oh god yes, event pokewalker routes. Have you got winner's path yet? So many leftovers... And we're due for the mew anniversary event sometime in the future.

I end up shaking mine when I haven't done enough walking in a day. It's surprisingly easy to do considering my wrists are weak as shit. I can't even do more than a few handstands and cartwheels before they start moaning at me, the traitors.

Has anyone else got a distinct lack of shinies going on? I haven't encountered one as chance for years now - since the first gold and silver came out, actually. Just the other day I got a shiny bulbasaur, though. A goddamn shiny bulbasaur.

    ...Damn, I'm still chuffed.

The only shiny I ever got was a shiny charmander that I bred in fire red. My heart nearly jumped into my throat when I saw the sparklies.

    ...mmmm black charizard...
