Decided to actually finish my Pokedex, with ORAS.

Hit 704, and the wall of Event-Only Pokemon. I'm actually kind of really bothered.

What's the point of the tag line "Gotta catch 'em all" if it's impossible for me to catch them? D:

 

"Gotta pay us more money to catch 'em all!"

Yes, I'm being thoroughly unfair.

 

"Gotta recieve 'em all through event distributions!" was harder to work into the theme tune.

 

Unsure as to whether I want Emerald, a new Region or a Kanto Remake next.

Kanto remake will be amazing when it comes out, Fire Red is probably my favorite next to the original emerald.

 

Emerald obviously. I'm still miffed at the exclusion of the Battle Frontier from ORAS.

 

I think I'm over remakes personally. I mean, I was as excited for ORAS as anyone, since I'd never really played them the first time around so they were a whole new game for me. But Alpha Sapphire is just a way worse game than Pokemon X/Y. I've been stuck half way through for ages and I have no motivation to continue. Its only saving grace is the cool character designs for the two villain teams.

So yeah, I am very much hoping we get a new region next. I certainly wouldn't shell out any cash for Ultima Emerald or whatever.

 

Fair point^ AS was really tough for me to get through as well.

But I dunno, Kanto's always been my favorite region and Blue is the best rival ever. He deserves to be displayed in 3D awesomeness.

 

We might get Emerald Z With a Hoen second region... thats what it feels like to me because they are linking the two regions pretty strongly. Plus the anime is going into xyz... a two region game has been done before, so tahts my hope.

 

I don't really care since I don't have a 3DS, I just want Mega-Arcanine. That said, a game with 3 or more regions with proper stories and progression for each one would be amazing.

 

A new legendary Pokemon was revealed. I'll put it in spoiler tags just in case.

It's name is Magiana and it seems to be a Steel-type. I'm guessing Steel / Bug or Steel / Fairy.

 

Looks like Steel/fairy. Can we has more badass looking legendaries instead of guys like this plox?

 

Not confirmed yet so I'm not making a new thread, but it looks like the next generation Pokemon titles will be called Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

If there's a new region, what should it be based on?

I want snow stuff so Scandinavia could be cool (heh).

 

I'd be interested in another Japan-based section given we've had New York and France between Unova/Kalos the past couple generations.

 

Well I'd be all in favour of a version of the British Isles as it's the only realistic way I'll ever get an Irish region.

Probably a bit optimistic though.

 

Australia. Routes were abandoned long ago, and all transportation between cities is done via teleportation. Only the mad venture out into the bush, and only the maddest of them all has ever pierced the heart of the outback to challenge the Legendary that reduced the once fertile land to charred red earth. Champion Max watches over this land, and woe betide the brigand or warlord who crosses his path.

 

Australia should have been the basis of the Hoenn storyline.

Australia? Well, I'd be down for a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Maybe this is a scenario where the local evil team succeeded and caused all of this.
