The only reason I'm getting Moon is because for all the previous games I've physically owned, I've gone with the 'first' version where possible. (Red, Gold, X, OR). Time to buck the trend.

 

English name of the Oak is Samson Oak.

And in the anime it's inevitable that Ash will come across Oak and his Mom on yet another sex holiday.

So this has Rockruff's evolutions, which is day and night based, and two more ultimate beasts. Also, while not shown here, for those of you who watch the anime, apparently in Sun/Moon Ash will go back to school and graduate like never before, which makes sense seeing as how Ash pretty much dropped out at ten.

 

Anime is confirmed for a new series in November, I guess. Kind of looking forward to it and seeing if they continue the rise in quality they've had lately.

Also, I want Serena to continue on. Don't fall away like all the other souls Ash has taken.

 

The Fire/Fighting starter is disappointing. That makes four starters with this typing.

I wonder if Drampa is going to be this region's pseudo-legendary. Normal/Dragon is a cool combination at least.

 

Has the fire fighting thing actually been confirmed? Because none of tue sources i've seen have actually said one way or the other. Pretty much until Serebii says one way or the other I'm holding out hope

 

The leaked images had some things that were confirmed afterwards by the official trailers. (An image of the grass leader for one.) It's supposed to be a Fire/Dark starter, though.

There's also some rumors that the starter evolution chains have something weird this generation, and that it's meant to be linked to the crazy werewolf Pokemon somehow.

Eevee's Z-power animation is so cheesy. I like the new reveals a lot, though.

 

All I could think during Eevee's Z-Power was "You came to the wrong neighborhood, motherfucker" when all the evolutions gathered.

 

It might look cheesy but holy hell that Z move makes Eevee usable without an evolution. Can Eevee hold eviolite at the same time? Because damn. >_>

Also, Oranguru is fucking amazing. I'm switching to Moon simply to get this guy.

Okay so after looking into it Eevee has to be holding a Z crystal or whatever so no Eviolite.

I don't care because it can still Baton Pass those stats. Sweep city.

So here we see second stage evos, plus a lot of random features, and what you get for playing the demo.

 

No significant improvement in the gameplay from X and Y it seems but that's to be expected with the current hardware. Nothing really too interesting in that reveal. :/
