The leaked images of the alternate evolutions are insane if they're real. Moon has better evos for Litten and Rowlett while Sun has the better seal evo. I'll be getting Moon of these are confirmed.

The box legendaries have pre-evolutions. They're fairly cute if not looking much like a lion/bird.

In other news, my adorable Ultra Beast jellyfish seems a bit underwhelming compared to the WTF-ness of these other Ultra Beasts. I like eldritch in my Pokemon.

 

That spider alien cell horrific monstrosity is my new favorite.

 

I'm so far removed that getting annoyed is pretty ridiculous... but wtf is that Ninetales? Are these supposed to be new pokemon? Or, like, shitty item reskins or something?

 

They added some Darwinian-type evolutions to species that evolved differently in the new region. Sandshrew is ice/steel, Ninetales is ice/fairy (iirc), meowth and rattata are dark-type now, Grimer is poison/dark, etc.

 

Guess it'll be the owl for me. And that coelacanth thing, that looks pretty sweet.

 

I suppose that's interesting in theory, but messing with perfection is just asking for trouble.

 

Paralysis was nerfed somewhat - it now halves your speed rather than lowering it by 66%.

 

I think accuracy reduced to 90% too?

Honestly, I think I'm actually going to go for luchalitten. I know, I know... I don't really like the design either, but honestly - there's just something about it that's growing on me. Maybe it's the inevitable goofy personality.

I actually saw those images but I assumed that they were the Pikachu images used as replacements when they were scrubbing the (non-shiny versions of) new Pokémon.

This Ash-blah stuff is my least favourite aspect of this game.

And, not turning away from Rowlett. Though might pick Poplio for my second run.

I've liked the fire starters the least since Gen 5.

 

Is the implication here that Ash got murdered in Alola or what. Why are his pokemon just running around.

 

I'll most likely go with Archer owl on my first run. As for my second run, I'll be tempted to reset for a shiny Litten. Those shines. Just woah.
