Most boring piece of shit type combination ever invented. Why does Nintendo have such a hard-on for it? You could have dragons (fire/dragon), self-immolating monsters (fire/grass) or raging arctic volcanoes (fire/ice), but no, instead we get flaming fists of shitfuck.

 

Blaziken was boss, every firefighting since has just been a failure to live up to that.

I'm a fan of Wishiwashi from what we've seen.

 

There is a new form richu ( electric/ psychic), so hopefully there is a new form for ash's pikachu. I am surprised that the pokemon anime did not have a separate mega evolution for pikachu. The new version of nine tails looks amazing.

I agree Wishiwashi is interesting though, but my favorite pokemon revealed so far though is Rockruff, so adorable.

 

The praise the sun lion legendary is actually psychic/steel? >_> I just realized. At least the box legendary designs are awesome this time around.

Weird snout but otherwise I'm pretty okay with that design.

I'm hoping Alolan Pikachu goes back to being a fat little bugger like he was back in the day. Nothing else - just ponchy again.

 

For some reason it reminds me of an evil fucked up Ludicolo which brings me this. What would Allan Ludicolo look like?

I'm kind of assuming that they aren't going to make an Alolan Pikachu. Touching the mascot seems like it could be taboo for Nintendo. Figured they released Raichu alone because there were no plans for Pikachu.

I like how these Pokemon are being typed creatively. We already have two water-type crabs, so this crab is fighting only. The turtle from before is fire / dragon.

But I guess they have no choice if they want to avoid a dirge of water-types.

 

How do you think Z-moves are going to be implemented into Competitive gameplay?

 

From today's Nintendo Direct: Rattata has an Alolan form - Dark/Normal. In addition, early purchase (before January 2017) gets you a Munchlax with a special Z-move enabling item.

 

Snorlax's Z-move animation is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Early purchase just means early purchase. Basically, buy it before Christmas and get a fatso for free. Release date is somewhere in November.

So Ratattas are meant to be the overpopulated Pokemon that Yungoose was introduced to the island to deal with - and became nocturnal to avoid them. Hopefully we see a cool mafioso-style Raticate to really nail the feud between the two.
