Considering the fact that Flygon is almost 7 feet tall, I'm pretty sure you couldn't stomp on it, and I'm pretty sure you'd piss yourself if you saw one. Sounds badass to me.

Also, as stupid as these most recent posts are, I'm loving the palpable rage coming from Raine and Churchey. It made me smile.

 

And Salamence is the size of a truck. It doesn't change the fact that he looks dumb. A dragonfly is a dragonfly. It has no place on a Dragon themed team, type be damned, unless you're deliberately making a dragon/dragonfly pun.

That's about all I really got in so far as gen/pokemon rants go (besides a general "I didn't care for g3" comment).

Ice doesn't need more weaknesses, but there are a number of types that do.

Assuming Fairy is legit, and assuming it really will be applied retroactively to some of the more appropiate Pokemon, it makes more sense for Fairy to provide immunity and strengths against some of the more common 'sweeping' elements, like Psychic and Dragon, but in turn be weak to some of the more obscure and less-used types, like Bug and possibly Dark.

That would give actual tactical reason to use some Pokemon like the Clefairy and Jigglypuff lines, above and beyond theme-teams. It would also make Chansey even more competetive in the late-to-endgame bracket, because now not only does it have miles and miles of health, but it's also an obvious and logical choice for the Fairy conversion, and thus would now either have resistance, immunity, or take normal damage from nearly every major sweeping element and STAB type.

If they retroactively change some attack types as well, I can think of a few candidates for that. Meteronome, presumably. Possibly a few others as well.

Regardless of it's strengths and weaknesses "Fairy" would not be immediate wank and/or shit-tier. It's certainly better than "Light."

Some of you may know how famously disastrous my Nuzlocke attempts are. Everything dies. To pokemon thirty levels below them, or baby pokemon, or Team Sockshit Grunts. But then some crazy motherfucker who I never wanted in the first place will come out and curbstomp a gym leader.

All this has taught me is that I can love any pokemon. Any pokemon.

I bitch and whine and hate them for the longest time, but as soon as I'm holding that pokeball in my hand, and I see that derpy fucker come out...I know it's mine, and it will earn my love in a tribute of blood. So go on. Hate on your slime puddles and your bidoofachus. Garbador killed a Hydreigon for me in one hit*, and I always feel sad when my first Gen IV Nuzlocke catch is not a bidoof. I'm a slut for pokemon, and I'm gonna catch them all.

Even with that said, I kinda hate the idea of fairy pokemon - but now so many of the useless shitty pokemon that I've previously resented are going to be lumped together in a new type. Type advantages, new evolutions, and any special gimmicks of the type may well redeem them from their previous shittiness. I'm just hoping that there are side-styled fairies as well as Tinkerbells. Imagine a ghost/fairy banshee line, or a fairy/ice Mab, or troll, or Erlking.

*Admittedly, this was in the card game. We bought two decks of pokemon cards the other day, and we've been gambling like Vegas with them since.

Ice is currently so weak that the only use I have for it in my team is teaching Ice attacks to non-Ice Pokemon. I almost never use the type itself; it's too weak against too many things.

Pdo91 I'll take that bet. Seems like an early access pokemon like all the rest and I doubt it'll have dragon typing.
