I'm actually considering getting back into Pokemon for this Gen after seeing some of the stuff put on here. I need to see the panel though. I mostly just wanted to say that the comic of Jigglypuff is hilarious.

And the badass FUCKING PISTOL SHRIMP POKEMON! And Talonflame (heh, really working hard on those names Gamefreak) looks pretty badass too, even though Fire/Flying is eh. Also, I can only imagine the nerdrage that percolated through the internet that GameFreak dared to mess with beloved Gardevoir.

Hordes look awesome, sky battles look awesome, the expanded repertoire of ridable pokemon is awesome, roller blades are lame, better be able to get a bike too, a player search system over the wireless connection rather than friend code crap looks awesome. Increasing a Pokemon's friendship thing making their evasion and crithax chance go up... looks like a disaster.

tl;dr, fuck me 3DS are expensive

edit: It's only 200 now for the 3ds XL though, might get another price drop before October but I think it's a decent price atm.

I have a tiny 3DS and I kinda hate it.

I'm hoping they release a Pokemon-themed XL when the games come out. =/

 

Pretty positive they will, how good it is remains to be seen. I have liked very few of their themed releases so far. Holding out hope though, gonna buy one when X/Y drops, ideally in a nice themed 3DS XL/game combo!

 

I think they will, seeing as they released themed 3ds/XLs outside of Japan for a bunch of their major games. (Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Zelda). But then again they recently released a Pokemon themed XL-- they might think it as unnecessary.


Edit: Argh they just released an Eevee themed XL in Japan. Too cute. I wish I could get it.

From what I understand the gold one is actually going to be the super rare pokecenter version, and the blue one is the preorder one with X or Y digital download already installed.

 

I'd rather the blue one but it's almost impossible to come across event related theme packages in Ireland.

I dunno guys, I sorta prefer the FE:A ones. These seem to have a bit too much stuff on the cover. That said, I'd probably try to go for the yellow one if I already didn't have a 3DS.

 

I'm the one who is still moderately embarrassed to own a customized 3DS that screams POKEMON, even though I know better than to give a fuck now.

That gold custom 3DS with the kickass, gold nordic leaf design Xerneas 3DS is one of the first "custom" consoles I've even thought about getting.
