If I were buying Pokemon X/Y, it would probably be the first time I chose a non-fire starter for my first playthrough. Disappointing.

The ninja frog is tempting, but I'm still going to go with the fire fox. For every generation, I've started with grass, but with the grass starter's current looks, I have to change my routine. -.-

Yea I'm with you 9Tailed, that thing is cooler than empoleon.

It's tongue being a scarf is fucking ridiculous, but in a good way.

Also I heard a possible spoiler that the rollerskates are auto-equipped when you move using the joystick and move faster on flat ground but glacial when you enter grass/snow/dirt type areas, while the d-pad controls regular movement and unequips the skates.

Anyone have the breakdown of type strengths+weaknesses for water/dark?

 

Resist water, grass, electric, ground, and dark. immune to psychic
Weak to fire, ice, fighting, poison, flying, 4x bug

Such great defensive typing on flying/fighting, but goddamn that cameltoe.

Helioptile evo looks like an intermediary form. Is it?

Chespin final isn't my favorite, but it does look good and I'm glad they've broken away from the dinosaurs. And grass/fighting is a pretty good typing but damn that 4x flying weakness. Looks like a mix between bowser and a rescue ranger, in a good way. Like Bitmyfinger said, it looks a little silly with its arms like that but hopefully its battle animations look better.
