Question to those of you with the game, is a single poke run other than HM slaves possible?

 

Yes, I barely did any grinding and my Greninja was 90+ by the end of it, though I abused pokemon-amie and lucky egg to get extra exp from battling. Your HM slaves will be a pretty high level as well because of exp share.

 

Between Pokemon Amie, O-powers, and Supertraining? Easily.

 

MegaCharizard X is best Charizard. Also there are some other exclusives you might want to look into.

Agreed. Turning it off makes it a lot harder though you do get a lucky egg ridiculously early plus the 20% pokemon-amie exp bonus.

 

Man, that guntpunch when you're harvesting ditto from the friend safari, where they're reasonably rare, and get neutral natures ones. Its lucky I don't feed it to Tyrantrum.

Recently beat the league. Aerodactyl, Lucario, Doublade, Sneasel, Greninja, and Scrafty was my team.

Still looking for a Razor Claw for Sneasel and Dusk Stone for Doublade.

 

You can get a dusk stone in the terminus cave if you have rock smash. I also think you get one from a person in Laverre City post-E4.

 

You don't need Rock Smash for the Dusk Stone in Terminus Cave. It's just sitting there.

 

Dunno about that. I found my dusk stone through the first terminus cave entrance, and used rock smash to make my way around the cave. You might be right.

 

That's going to take forever. It's not hard to get to 4 but 5 and 6 is a real bitch.

Also, you're going to be resetting for a long time on Mewtwo. Perfect IVs on a legendary? Good luck with that. I already consider it incredibly amazing that the Mewtwo I caught had 4 IVs of 31, probably the best I've seen other than hacked ones from earlier gens.

 

To be honest, I wasn't even thinking of Mewtwo. At least this shit is hella easier than previous gens thanks to the new destiny knot mechanics and the double perfect IV safari.

 

Yeah, it's way easier now without a doubt. Still, I'm guessing on average, you'll run through at least 40 eggs to go from 4 ivs to 5 ivs, which is horribly annoying, probably even more to go from 5 to 6.

 

Yeah I never have a Rock Smasher. So I made my way around the cave without it. Like there's stuff you can't get like a TM... but the Dusk Stone is accessible.

 

Shit son, my first breeding experiences (in pokemon heh) had to do with masuda method'ing for shinies. I'm no stranger to long ass egg chains, and I hatched at least 1,000+ (a number that is minuscule compared to lots of masuda shiny searchers) eggs in Platinum... and it was all worth it when the shiny larvitar and hippopotas hatched. I'm hoping it's at least like 10% as exciting when a perfect IVd Pinsir or whatever hatches after 50.
