Also, I'm pretty sure that this guy previously said that the "bond-level" was a new mechanic replacing the happiness system.

Then in this new update, he says Sylvaeon evolves through the bond system.
So how exactly do Espeon and Umbreon evolve according to this 'leak'?

 

I'm guessing they go back to simple day/night instead of bond level being also a factor?

That just seems silly to me, since those are two of the most useful eeveelutions. Friendship doesn't make them "hard" to get, but it's definitely a time commitment to eevee. It just seems a bit unbelievable that Slyvaeon would evolve this way.

Looking at the elite four that this "leak" suggested, it seems even more unlikely.
A single dragon type would be resistant to every single member of the elite four, and he also suggested quite a few new dragon types were being released.

Highly unlikely, which has been said before, I know. But I have a story to write and I'm procrastinating.

In the trailer for the latest Pokemon movie Sylveon as well as Eevee and the rest of its evolutions are revealed to be the focus of the short before the movie. So if we don't know its type by July The movie will most likely confirm it for us.
