Ugh, I just got through catching up on the episodes I let pile up. And seeing the new opening and the previews makes me really disappointed.

The next 5 episodes or so are gonna focus mainly on Korrina. And not only that, in his battle with her Ash got thrashed, completely. Pikachu didn't even land a bloody hit on Lucario and that was before it could Mega Evolve. And then in the new opening Ash's next Pokemon was revealed to be a Hawlucha of all things. I mean seriously, why? He already has a Flying type. A Lucario would have fit him so much better - but alas there goes that pipe dream. This season started off good with Ash looking like a total badass in the promo pics - but damn did the new season go down hill fast.

Any of you guys keeping up with the anime? If so what are your thoughts on it thus far?

 

I new the series would be infinitely worse than B/W the moment Serena appeared. So much for my favorite female rival, she's apparently been relegated to Ash's fang- sorry- "Childhood friend".

So ya, I stopped watching X/Y pretty early on and am nowhere near the current episode. Maybe if it gets better later on like Diamond and Pearl did I'll pick it back up.
