I'm having an issue with my port forwarding, and i'm not sure why.

I got started into this merry jaunt of stupidity when I was unable to access the League of Legends store. One of the posts in the support section said it may be that it was being denied acces by my ports, so I set about opening all the port used by LoL.

    For reference, these are:

    TCP:

    80 (which was already open)
    443(open)
    2099 (closed)
    5222 (Closed)
    5223 (Closed)
    8393-8400 (Closed)

I used the port forward program to make my IP static (192.168.1.150) then manually went through the process seen here for all of those ports, I decided to test it. The screen image matches mine exactly, by the way.

Using both the port forward testing apparatus (which said they were open, link), but also used the one recommended by league of legends link (which said they were closed). Any help or clues you could think of to figure out why these ports or open (or maybe some other reason why I can't use the damned store) would be great. I've already tried turning off all my firewalls (the in-built and a separate program I own) and on combination of on and off that might be appropriate.

I remember having problems with Hamachi at one point in time. Haven't forwarded my ports in years, but IIRC it was all resolved by enabling the DMZ server option. Mind you, it translated to making yourself a sitting duck for everyone or some such (can't recall the Netgear description). Anyway, turn that on and see if it works. That's the only advice I've got. :/

That's not it either, i'm beginning to think (as I originally thought) that it has nothing to do with the ports at all.

One of the easiest solutions I can think of, would be to install µTorrent and test the ports with it. You can also download some random Freeware from chip.eu, like OpenOffice, to test if the port really works. You just have to select download via bittorrent.

Best advice I can give you is to take a look at http://portforward.com/

Your router should be in the list, just follow the instructions they give you.
