The price for this is outrageous. As much as I'd like to play it, fuck that. I got the original for free, and the most I'd pay for a sequel (to ANY game, not just this one) is $10-15.

 

To be honest, if I was the developer, I'd be charging the same amount. It's too good of something not to cash in.

 

I'm as cheap as the next guy, but even I find that a bit unreasonable.
By what logic does the fact that it's a sequel suddenly make it worth far less?
As to getting the original for free, that just shows valve is one of the few big companies
left in the industry that has yet to jump on the "fuck gamers, fuck them as hard as possible." bandwagon.

Bit off topic, but does anyone need a copy of Portal to get themselves ready for Portal 2? I have a spare on my steam account I can gift (got it in some bundle, already had a copy).

 

Hm. Apparently if enough people play those indie-Steam games the game will come out earlier. Clever, Valve.

 

I don't know if you know this, but buying it on PS3 will automatically grant you free ownership of the game in Steam so that you can play it on Mac and PC too. Other companies would charge you for three games if you wanted to play on three different platforms.

And PS3 and PC gamers will be able to play co-op together. Cross-platform multiplayer, FINALLY!

Holy shit. Speaking of. Audiosurf has three different Portal tracks specially modded to use Companion cubes and Portal-related songs. Victim of Science - This Device Has Been Modified is utterly, utterly epic.
