Not trying to be a tool or anything. I just find it somewhat indicative of the community's longevity and ability to maintain what seem to be some of it's core components (good writing, somewhat intelligent conversation and a depth of experience among our membership that is definitely lacking elsewhere on the Internet). That, coupled with the fact that we've made a dent in the idiocy that was a big part of the Harry Potter C2 on FF.net is cool, tis all.

I was thinking the other day about how it's kind of amazing that DLP keeps getting bigger and bigger in the fanfiction community. I kinda thought it would fizzle out after the books finished, but here we are 6 years after I joined with no end in sight.

It's over 9000.

 

This means that every member has an average postcount of 50 posts and if we take away 50% of the members (people who just register and then post very few posts/never post) we get 100 post each by 4500 posters.

That's way more than I would have imagined.
