I just got the e-mail, was really excited until I realized they even took down the Sign In button for now.

 

Got an Email today saying I would get another message when I am allowed to get into the beta. Anyone get that? It was kind of specific and said I'd get in sometime in Mid-August to the beginning of September.

 

Everybody is getting that exact email. Nobody can get access before they enable the singin button again and send out some different emails probably starting sometime next week.

...problem is that I have three accounts on the mail address I got the email on, and I have absolutely no idea which one the email's for. They didn't add usernames. D: (The other two accounts were placeholders for younger sibs in case they didn't manage to get one in time on their own. Legit.)

 

I got the same thing. All excited til I realised it was Mid-August to end of September, so no real change. It's probably just to remind all the ADD kids that they signed up.

 

Stuff on the Pottermore blog still says that they're sending things out in batches: The leading assumption right now is that this set of validation emails is for the first batch of testers... whenever they get the ball rolling and open up the site.

A number of people are saying that their children got the emails and they didn't. Age bias? Likely.

It says also "However, if you did manage to register for an early access place you will soon receive a ‘selected for early entry’ email." In my opinion this implies that everybody who managed to get in will receive this mail.

 

I was just hoping for some alert e-mails from FFN... no such luck.

I got mine too.

 

They may not be going in order with the Welcome e-mails, but I happen to know of two accounts that were made within minutes of each other, which both received the Welcome within minutes of each other.

In completely unrelated news: I got mine.

Really rough about Reza turning out to be a squib, though. You can always try to get accepted at Pigfarts online; their headmaster is a lion who Skypes, and the server is on Mars.
