yea i know it is, however from a readers standpoint, i need to read the detail and description, or else the plot moves along way to fast and then you find yourself on chapter 16 and only 17000 words in.

I honestly have no idea when's the update coming. Technically, I should be able to write these last few thousad words in a day, but it's like I forgot how to write and every sentence is pure torture.

Even worse, several ideas are just sitting there on a backburner, becouse I promised myself I won't get distracted by another story until I finally finish this chapter and post it. Ah, life sucks...

*Points the chopsticks at Ip82's neck* Update now or die!

Just kidding don't force yourself to update because it won't seem as good if you force yourself to write the story.

I read your story IP and its very good so far. You have some original ideas like the anarkia book, and the escape from the Dursleys were pure genious. If brush up on your spelling and grammar it would be even better but its not too important. Your fic is good as it is.
    Checklist:

    No slash -- check
Decent novel length -- getting there
    Interesting ideas -- Yup!
Original and exciting plot -- definately
cliches -- Independant Harry is a cliche but you put a nice twist to it and made it unique. (escape from dursleys, anarkia, duel with rockwood)

All in all a good read. Rating out of 10: 9/10
The whole Harry in dark cloak at Knocturne alley where he was known as a mysterious figure blah blah blah just irked me for some reason. Many fics try to portray Harry as a mysterious, dark cloaked figure and that was a big turn off. Aside from that and the russian wand dude's life history, this fic was fantastic.

Thanks. I have LOTS of idea how Harry could escape from Dursleys and/or make their lives living hell. Shit, the little fuck only needs to mail the twins and prank Dursleys a few times, with promise for more. His stupidity sometimes truly amazes me.

That wasn't my intention. In my world, all inhabitants of Knockturn Alley are either miserable sobs and hags, that no one would give a second look, or people like Lucas/Harry. So Harry's alter-ego is nothing special compared to other Knockturn Alley riff-raff - he's gotten some attention as a new guy, with some coin to throw around, but he's far from a ruler of the alley or some shit like that.

Yeah, that was supposed to be few sentances of background info, but it kinda got out of hand. There WAS point to that - his life-story introduced concept of generic wands, which I will be using in future plot. Still, if I wrote that scene now, I would probably make it shorter.

Smart man. I only post ones that I won't use, like my challenges, unless I have already posted the story and/or force the people to put in that it was me that had come up with the idea. Thankfully, those that have answered my challenges on FF.Net for Tales of Symphonia know how to give credit where credit is due.

Anyways, BOT, how is the next chapter coming ip?

Damn, I haven't even read it yet and I'm sure as hell not going to read the pages and pages of posts. Apparently it's a good fic, I'll be back to let you know what I think about it. I trust your reviews of other peoples fics, ip, so I might as well read your fic...

Weird. I'll post almost any bunny or challenge my mind comes up with. Even the really good ideas that I'm tempted to write. But I mainly do that in the hopes that someone else will write them so that I don't have to. Saves me a lot of work. And in my experience, you'll always get more ideas later on, when it is time to write something more. Usually better ideas too.

Or else you end up hoarding all these ideas that do eventually turn up without your help because you have too much you keep meaning to write. And sometimes too many ideas makes it so you have 8000 words of your next chapter done and you're stuck with writer's block unable to finish and post your next chapter even though it's been over four months. Primarily because you keep thinking about and getting scenes and plots for your other ideas. And that four months is without actually 'taking a break' or hiatus. Just your attention's too divided. Of course, I'm speaking completely hypothetically here, right?

    Err... /me runs from IP82.

Look one of my previous replies. Same old, same old.

Dunno, in my experience, there are very few authors who can do other people's ideas justice.

However detailed and preplanned the plot-bunny/challenge is, you'll still need solid amount of creativity to write it into a good story. And if you DO have creativity, then you don't need other's ideas, because you are gonna come up with your own you'd rather use.

So, lots of published plot bunnies and challanges ends up with poor and unmotivated writters, who abandon the work as soon as ideas specified in the challange run out. And that's always dissapointing for the author of the bunny. Poor little things, always get butchered up :)

So, I publish only ideas that I know for sure I will never need.

BTW, that could be an interesting topic. Do you know ANY story that is good AND based on someone's other challange/plot bunny?

I have absolutely no idea who are you talking about. Nope. Not at all. I'll just walk over there and pretend I don't exist. :whistles while walks away:
