I just found a glaring plot-hole. In the 4th book, in the weighting of wands, Ollivander claimed Harry's wand is in perfect condition, How can you explain this?

 

There are so many possible explanations to this, from the Ministry tracking spells masking all the other hostile charms, over Dumbledore giving Ollivander some explanation in advance, to Dumbledore deactivating the wards for the duration of the day. I don't think there's really a need to select one of these for the "official" version, eh?

BTW, I've been working real hard on completing the next chapter this past week. I'm currently at 22,000 words, while the final version should be some 25K... So there....

 

Looking foward to this. It just might rekindle the flame when it comes to my love for fanfiction.

 

Definitely looking forward to this one. Potter's Resistance is right up there with Reign of Power in terms of kickassedness.

 

25k chapter? That is... long. Wouldn't it be better to post quickly, ten thousand word chapters instead of one huge chunk that takes forever? That way people won't think it is abandoned. I love this fic, especially the original start to it.

English is not your native tongue so how long does it take for you to write a thousand words? Just curious.

 

Will there be a potter's resistance 2 coming after this one or is this just a cool title

 

I have certain things that needs to be said in each chapter. I can't just cut the chapter on convenient chunks, that would ruin the immersion and plot flow. Besides, I'd like to think that this chapter will be an exception, not a rule...

Depends on many factors. Right now, I'm trying a new method that would hopefully prevent further blocks comming out of frustration at not knowing how to express my thoughts.

Sounds to good to be true, one thing is i will have to read it all over again to make sure i know where the story is at. Very much looking forward to this update.

 

Don't be. It's crap IMO. It's one of those middle parts in each fiction where nothing interesting happens, other than lots of explanations and setting things up for the finale.

As for re-reading the whole story, I slightly edited and cleaned up previous chapters, so it might not be such a chore.

And finally, I split the announced 30K chapter on two 15K or so parts that will be posted after one after another. I did this mostly so you wouldn't have to wait a week or more for the monester chapter to be beta'd.
