This only confirms to me that all a serious PR movie needs is someone who can do it right.

 

An action scene? No seizing shaky cam? Are you telling me viewers can actually tell what is happening on the screen? And there isn't a cut every 0.56 seconds? AND it still looks intense and exciting?

Huh, I actually came across it here: http://www.comicvine.com/articles/joseph-kahn-s-power-rangers-fan-film-is-dark-and-v/1100-151451/ and the original version is still up. Not really necessary as it doesn't add to the film.

 

Looked pretty cool up until the fight scene with the Black Power Ranger, which was hooorrible. Might be some kinda throwback to the old campy fun of the tv show, I dunno. Never watched it.

All in all, not a bad effort considering they probably didn't have a lot of dough to drop into this.

 

That.....that was fucking magnificent. I barely even remember Power Rangers and I would happily pay to watch a feature length version of that.

 

Damn, I would have liked to see more of the younger Power Rangers in action with this sort of depiction. That battle sequence was awesome.

I actually liked the Black Ranger's fight scene. The way he stared down that Korean general at the end... badass.

 

What the hell did the black guy say before his death? All I got was the 'get on with it' at the end.

I can't deny that it wasn't interesting, in a sense, but I'm hoping for something different with the actual movie they're going to be making.

And apart from a bit of cheesy dialogue (which can always be forgiven), that was awesome. Not enough gritty reboots out there.

Reminded me of Pokémon Apokélypse.

 

So Rita hypnotized everyone to do shit basically? Sort of glad they didnt use JDF for the Tommy role.

 

That should give them a reference as to how the real movie should feel...

EDIT: And look at that, they are actually suing the guy who did the brilliant work. Gosh, why the hell am I paying for internet if they are going to remove anything worthwhile watching. And some idiots are actually defending the lawsuit, saying it wasn't in the 'spirit' of Power Rangers to be so dark, so gritty and God forbid, the implied sex.

"I am sooooo horrified that my 7 year old son might watch this video of his favorite show and ask me why those aunties are sleeping with that black guy without any clothes on and why are they so SWOLLEN and what is that pointy pointy thing."
