I'm looking for some good Power Rangers fics. I prefer them to be more on the mature side and epic in length if possible. I already read A Darker Shade of Green and it's sequels. Any help would be appreciated guys.

DinoThunder: The Legacy of Tommy Oliver is a decent enough WIP - I don't know any others.

Cloud91: A Darker Shade of Green by UnromanticPoetess is a dark, epic rewrite of the original Green Ranger episodes. It's a long, solid story that fleshes out some of the weird, cheesy characters, plot devices, and dialogue from the series. I was pleased with what the author did with Trini, Bulk, and Skull, as well as the Ranger's families... which are often a breeding ground for unnecessary angst and emo-drama.

 

Red and White and Golden Homecoming by SilverRider are a good set of stories concerning Jason and Tommy, where Jason isn't exactly pleased to have his position as leader given to Tommy.

Another decent story is Roaring on the Wind by Etcetera Kit. It's complete at around 100,000 words.

It takes place during Dino Thunder, and the plot is basically that during 'Forever Red' the red rangers made a sort of distress call in case one of them ever needs help. Tommy decides to use it for help stopping Mesogog.

 

Agony in Pink. I found this fic to be very... realistic, and it's definitely one of the most recommended Power Rangers fics out there. You should enjoy it, I think.

Hm. If I remember my nerd-history correctly, then I think this fic is the reason adult fics were banned from FF.net. So while it might be terrible, it has historical significance. I think.

You are so right. I suggest that every one read this fic. I read it once before but this reminded me just what I loved about it. It really fleshes out the characterization of the pink ranger. I really felt a connection to her at the end.

 

Of love and bunnies is okay its not all that dark but its decent time waster and its kind of amusing.

 

Ellen Brand's Personality Conflicts series is the best PR fanfiction I've read. I haven't read much, really, only some of what's on Jeremy's archive. It spans about 400k words, but she's separated her chapters into separate stories on ffn, and it's annoying as hell, so I'd recommend reading it on the aforementioned archive.

It's the first fanfiction I ever read, without even really knowing what it was at the time, and that was about four to five years ago, long before I started reading HP fanfiction just under a year ago. I reread recently (a few months back) and found it was still nearly as good as I remember it being, which I can't say for much of the HP fanfic I read in my first few months with the fandom. It's a crossover with several other tv shows, but you don't really need to watch/know them for it to work. I especially like the Ghostbusters bits, which she does well both in this series and in her pure Ghostbuster fics as well.

 

With the announcement of a Mighty Morphin reboot I've got an urge to read about the Power Rangers. Anything good would be appreciated.

 

Welp I've got nothing to rec, all the things I read about 5 years ago were terrible, only thing I've read since then T3t links earlier in the thread and that's ... alright.

I AM however workshopping and hoping to start writing/posting an episodic "season" of 25-45 chapters either weekly or bi-weekly starting this summer, the plot is ready as are some side-plots and a decent number of characters plus some worldbuilding.
