I have been looking for a story I read years ago which featured a powerful and maybe a part creature Harry who is sent into the Lord of the Rings universe. He is not a vampire but had elf like qualities. He lives with the elves and I remember that at one point his arm became bird like or a claw. I can not remember many details about this story just that Harry was more powerful and maybe a tad darker.

 

There are hundreds of stories where Harry ends up in Middle Earth and becomes an 'elfling'. I don't think I've ever seen a decent one though. We'll need much more infomation.

 

Is it Sanctuary of Arda or something like that?

 

Well he was already elf like before he got sent there I do believe. The way I remember the story starting is Harry in a semi ruined Hogwarts where he has to jump from the bottom of a broken stair case to the top and using whatever supernatural powers he has acquired makes the jump on his way up to the headmasters office.

I can't really remember what happens after this because stories start to blend together. Sorry for the vague explanation but it has been awhile.

 

I think I seem to remember something similar but I didn't read it. Did it by some chance had some weird slash pairings?

Edit: Syno found it before me, was that it? I couldn't really get past the Author Note. Is it at least decent?

I do not believe it was a slash story I want to say that Harry had some interaction with Arwen but ultimately do not think he was paired with anyone. I think Harry recognized the ring as a horcrux... maybe... ha I have read too many stores they all seem to blend together at parts

 

Harry Potter: Ripples in the Water and a sequel Making Waves are what you're thinking of. It's pretty decent, but the author pulled the sequel, changed his name and deleted all of his older fics. Annnnnd I just checked, he deleted both. I have a saved copy of the first part, I'll throw it up when I'm on my desktop tonight.
