    I am curious as to what others think would have happened if someone other than WB had gotten the rights to Harry Potter.

    Well, I am still waiting for Seduction Cinema to produce it's spoof of the Harry Potter series.

    Honestly, I don't think not much would be different. Rowling would still have had input in what direction she wanted the film to go in. Maybe they would have had different actors, but the story would still be the same.

    I wonder how the film would have been if an like Fox or their sub-division Fox Searchlight (Juno, The Last King of Scotland, Little Miss Sunshine) got the rights to production, mostly Fox Searchlight, as it produces independant films.

    Well, Rob Zombie has expressed an interest in reproducing the HP films a year or two after DH is released. And, in true Rob Zombie style, he says he's going to pack them with as much violence, sex, nudity, and adult themes as he can get away with.

    So yeah, that's what I think would happen if someone other than WB got the HP rights.

    That right there is awesome. I've been a zombie fan for ages. I personally think he'd be the most epic person to do it. Him or maybe Tim Burton.
